  1. Congratulations Kris Boyd!!
  2. The Mrs took ours down and stufed in straight in the brown bin. I see it and comment "there is no way the council will take it away like that, you'll need to chop it up, I'll get you the saw!!!". I didn't realy get her the saw, but she had the last laugh when the following day it was already gone!! Good ol' Council.

But they both won 7 trophies during their times as managers of Rangers & Celtic... that's ahrdly "streets ahead". Plus, McLeish actually got Rangers into the last 16 of the CL - the first ever Scottish club to do so.

I think the term "hammer throwers" was actually invented for them. O'Neill's teams were all bruisers. Couldn't have passed water.
  5. Don't know if it was the council or a very nice person, but one side of Goodrich Road up towards DOnkey Alley has been done. Was a death trap.

Brilliant performance last night... hopefully kick starts our season. (assuming you refer to (Glasgow) Rangers!!!

  11. USed to work for a similar company in my Uni days... the mugs who fell for it came along to a 2 hour presentation that soon turned into a 3.5-4hr presentation, and you were free to leave at any time, but would not get your holiday!! They do have to give you the holiday, but check what airport etc they send your from as it may not be your local one. I guess it all comes down to whether you can say no and don't mind wasting your Saturday afternoon. Think you have to pay the taxes as well.

Wee bit pokey for a B&B.

Whilst I agree with you, as I am a cyclist also, the amount of cyclists who jump the red lights is without question higher than car drivers. Cyclists can kill pedestrians as well, they need to realise the law on red lights applies to them too. Am glad no one was killed. Was in the area at 6.30 last night and all the roads where still closed and traffic was a blooming nightmare.

  16. To clarify - this is intent to foul!!!! Brilliant tackle!
  17. Why the cry for a B&B - how many on here would actually use it?
  18. Bit off topic but I was wondering how the bike shop on ED Road is getting on... I remember when moving to ED a couple of years ago and thought it would be a good business venture as there wasn't one... if only I had the drive, know-how and a bit of balls to do my own thing I could have been in there before them!!!!
  19. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If there is intent to commit a foul, it's a foul. > That is why intent is important. > > But I did not see it, so no idea on the specific > incident. But there wasn't intent to commit a foul. Intent to commit a foul was McManus against Hearts a couple of weeks back. This challenge was an intent to get the ball, nothing else. There was absolutely no need for him to go down, he was still in control of the ball. In fact, he didn't just go down, he went up and then down!!!!
  20. that was cheating end of. Doesn't matter about contact/no contact in this instance. He was still in full control of the ball and realised he was getting too close to another Brum defender. Carsley was stupid lunging in as he didn't need to, but how anyone can look to justify that with "intent" is ridiculous.
  21. Thanks for posting this info. Always good to be aware of how the criminal element are developing their ways. Just out of interest, what area of ED was this?

  23. ANyone know what it's called/got a number for it? Dropped a laptop off there on Saturday and the guy said he'd call to let us know when it would be done on Saturday evening... not yet heard from him. Thanks in advance.
  24. Not sure if you'd get away with that under a "self defence" plea??!! Who in their right mind keeps a hedge strimmer in the bedroom?!?!?
