  1. I wuoldn't be bothered too much if it wasn't at 11pm.
  2. Anyone else hear this pain in the arse pretty much every night roaring around the Goodrich Road/Friern Road area? The noise from his scooter makes the windows in our flat shake and you can hear him half way down the road towards Peckham Rye!!! No idea where he lives, but seen him flying around the roads a few times and he drives like a bloody mad man. Can this sort of thing be reported to the authorities?
  3. I was told today that the Rotherithe Tunnel was bendy so as when the horses used to go through it back in the olden days, they couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel and make a bolt for it. That true? POst your interesting fact.
  4. There is one off of Wandsworth Road.
  5. What an awful experience. I hope this gets the proper attention from the authorities it deserves.

Are you for real??? Are you comparing celebrating a close friend/family member's birthday to going out and celebrating someone who represents a foreign country and saying it's the same thing???
  7. why do people cling to such an event that has nothing to do with them??? It would be like me going out to get rat arsed on 4th July or Bastille Day....
  8. what annoys me about St Patricks Day is the amount of non-Irish folk "celebrating" it.

  10. English people are afraid to celebrate St George's day due to the fear of being branded racist. How do the Scots have no culture?? (I expect I've just been caught)... but I'd love to hear how you come up with that one.
  11. Good old Twatt. http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=twatt%20village&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
  12. Lived in Chelsea before moving here and went back a while ago and nearly got run over on that bit of road... it is useless.. anyone coming right out of the tube that does not know what it is will walk straight out into the "road". It certainly does not make you "think" more about it. Most people will just think it is fully pedestrianised.
  13. Ah, good old 40 bus drivers!! Cheers for the update.

  15. Was there a crash on Walworth Road that messed up all the buses this morning? Just wondering if everything is back to normal before I head off home.

We bumped into the workman on the way home from some very kind friends who put us up for the day... they found the problem, semi-fixed it and had to turn it off again to sort the fix through the night. Came back on at 1am. Hopefully all sorted now.

Ah.. that would explain why there were none to be seen at The Plough! 176 when it got to the Plough was rammed full... had to get the diverted 363 to E&C and tube it in. Not too bad a journey all things considered.

  23. 6 of us here all hungry for a chinese!! Anywhere open??
  24. Seeing as 43 people have viewed this and no one has replied... I am guessing no forumite from Dunstans has power to read the forum!!! Can someone be a pal and run out and see if the top end of Dunstans has power?!?!
  25. We were without power at corner of Dunstans and Goodrich Road this morning. We've since gone to a friends- does anyone know if the power is back on? Thanks!
