  7. And any of you know of a Bear friendly bar in/around ED for the Old Firm on Saturday? Got Setanta but fancy watching it amongst fellow Bears...

  11. Someone mentioned the vale was open late - is that correct?
  12. Hi all - is there anywhere open later than 1am in ED? Got a 30th to arrange and would like the chance to booze a wee bit longer than 1am if possible. If not in ED, what's the closest 2 or 3am establishment?

Can you supply your evidence? I've never had a problem with the buses once.
  14. Oh no - that's terrible news. We only discovered Springers a few months back and have been in twice, both times were superb. Sorry to see it go. All the best with your next venture, what ever it may be.

You're smiling about a lot of people losing their jobs? What a pleasant person you sound like. If you ever find yourself in a position that you may lose your job... just remember and smile about it.
  16. Me and Mrs SCSB79 along with our neighbours just popped along to the wee garden centre doing the Christmas trees... the nicest chaps in the world selling them. Allowed us to take the tree and come back with cash later as we didn't think they wouldn't take cards... also offer free local delivery. Good quality trees too.
  17. Goodrich - right by the school.

  19. I was on the 40 home the other night and about 6 girls were on it stating how some girl at school was going to get an absolute shoeing... They were animals. I've recently given up amateur football and know the language that gets used in the games very well... these girls were ten times worse with their language!!!!! I was quite tempted to write to their head master/mistress but I doubt whether it would have done anything. Can't remember what school it was.... blue blazer, maybe Harris'???
  20. I thought the food was excellent when we went, but I am in the "not value for money" group I am afraid. The portions were very small.

Not that I am a stalker, just that it was very quiet in there!!
  22. I would agree with Mr Pickle's method. But if you're a tight Scot like me and go for a PAYG Oyster Card, that option won't work.. cheaper to get the bus!!!
  23. Three minute walk to Barry House... pick up the 40 at the start of its route, get a seat and relax all the way into the City. Takes about an hour but good time to listen to radio/i=pod, read a book/newspaper or whatever... where in the city do you work?
  24. Went on the first recommendation from EDOldie! Springers. Food was excellent. Nice wee wine bar. A little pricey, but not too bothered about that as the food was delicious. Definitely one to go back to.
  25. We've been to Magnolia and The Plough recently for grub, both of which were good... where would you suggest to try tonight?? What's The Clockhouse like for food?
