  1. Decent article from a Leaver I've long had a problem with here (I'm seeing more of this sort of thing btw , but HAHA DEMOCRACY!!!!, there is no mechanism for them to change their vote The hill I will die on is that this was a referendum of such magnitudal change that it required a confirmatory referendum based on the deal to be considered in any way democratic - and anyone who shouts down problems by just screaming "democracy" is naive at best and downright malicious at worst) https://www.independent.co.uk/independentpremium/voices/brexit-vote-leave-trade-deal-b1780862.html
  2. https://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/irelands-pubs-could-soon-playing-23247828 Not an English exclusive
  3. ", but these views don't really means as much as it seems you would like them to" maybe. maybe not. But that's different from "people aren't laughing at Brexit and the Brits" The Euro is more mixed - but kind of moot. People have been living with it for years and it hasn't made them wish they weren't part of the EU. Whereas the country that didn't join the Euro still wasn't happy (spoiler: and never will be)
  4. I?ve already been chided by the feline for posting that article It?s mad that remainers get accused of being in a bubble but no matter how one tries to illustrate the bubble English leavers are in they just don?t wanna hear
  5. Think you will find the dust will be clouding your view for some time foxy Clock is ticking until you realise it wasn?t what you voted for
  6. GEE TD - why dontcha apply such criteria to foxy. Or is only he allowed to spout unchallenged in your view? Nothing foxy said is true. You don?t need to be a mafia member to see that.
  7. All the pieces of the jigsaw fit now - I totally get it!
  8. ?- long very costly 47 years? One would think someone as old as you would remember how sick the U.K. was back then. Tried to stay out. But had to join anyway because it needed to financially. In those 47 years it was the 5th largest economy in the world The U.K. did plenty wel out of those 47 years
  9. Economic reality and the weakness of England in a global world will see to that foxy. It won?t be anything to do with ?remainers?
  10. He is quite something
  11. Speaking of corbynistas. If I found myself on same side as this eejit, I would be quite worried https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/dec/31/the-left-brexit-economic-uk?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  12. Everyone outside Labour Party laughed at them when they elected Corbyn leader Did they want to hear that? Nope. Just congratulated themselves on revolution to come. ?You lost centrists? Etc If I was a leaver I would pay more attention to what other countries are saying and not cherry picking
  13. Moot. But not over And that?s the point. England is still patting itself on the back while the rest of the world thinks they are fools for this go to cafes, bars, bus stops across eu and you won?t need to rely on ?newspaper articles? England pats itself on the back but is about to spend years looking for more access without any leverage. The vassal state it?s proponents said they would never accept
  14. ""You're wrong becuase I can quote people who also disagree with you"" That isn't my argument. You are wrong be cause Brexit is flawed and excecuted by some very flawed people for very bad reasons. Objectively I'm just referencing earlier points where when people try to point out how others see the folly of the English decision, it was dismissed as remoaner elites and an article in the NYT trust me - majority of everyone outside UK can see the folly Citing an article about support for eurosceptic parties doesn't address anything. For a start, eurosceptic parties are generally toxic populists which happen to use the EU as a scapegoat (I mean, would YOU want to align yourself with most of them, eu policy aside?) - but the reality is that opinion poll after opinion poll shows support for EU across EU countries remaining strong https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/brexit-eu-survey-italy-ireland-portugal-eurosceptic-poll-a8888126.html The Telegraph article - again, Norway have their own ongoing relationshi with the EU to address - they have long warned UK not to think the NOrway option was a good one. But the articlealo states "The Brexit deal negotiated by Lord Frost avoids tariffs on goods" Which is only true as long as UK aligns with EU - and that won't be long will it?
  15. You?re correct. I?m just off to find that list of articles from countries praising Brexit. Back soon
  16. Boris Johnson and UK not seen as joke by anyone but elitist remainers is it? "Britain 'taken over by gamblers, liars, clowns and their cheerleaders'" https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/dec/31/the-view-from-europe-uk-taken-over-by-gamblers-liars-clowns-and-their-cheerleaders
  17. Now, why would he do this, at this point in time https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/dec/31/stanley-johnson-confirms-application-for-french-passport-on-eve-of-brexit
  18. ? How many times have we heard people say "It doesn't matter who You vote for. They are all the same " I?d be interested to learn when this quote originated
  19. Can?t even call made up nonsense made up nonsense anymore
  20. ? I learned early on not to trust what British governments claimed they achieved in negotiations with the EU; from the game set and match of John Major to Tony Blair?s so called exemption from the Charter of Fundamental Rights, they never stood up to examination. ? Snigger
  21. ?and now has to deal with the Brexit issue.? Poor Johnson. He couldn?t possibly have seen that one sneak up on him. Could you tug your forelock any harder?
  22. close to 1000 Uk deaths today Many hospitals on red alert. Journalists trying to get footage to show the full extent of the problem, reportedly being prevented from doing so. Nightingale units being closed down (because they never had the staff) I'd say "aren't we lucky" doesn't quite grasp the problem
  23. I would say that, given this wonderful, not-in-any-way-a-joke of a sovereign, world-beating government hasn't given itself any time to examine the deal, there are all sorts of problems ahead just now: "Starmer points out that UK businesses only get tariff free access if they abide by rule of origin requirements and the UK sticks to the level playing field. Johnson says: "Rubbish."" Starmer is of course correct pointing this out, so Johnson is either lying (to the country? to himself?) or he and everyone passing the bill doesn't understand it
  24. "I believe it does provide flexibility to do some of the things that the ERG wants," I'd be interested to know what you and others think these might be?
  25. In other words ?a joke?
