  1. Plus there is the knowledge/feeling that having pubs survive might be a good thing, and that?s less likely to happen if we don?t spend any money there
  2. 3 kids!
  3. my favourite bit about this thread is that someone who started it because although they agree with bulk of the message feel the manner in which it's conveyed puts some people off, has spent 8 pages yelling at people that they aren't getting HIS message
  4. As long as he keeps posting on here how can we stop talking about him? Oh. You don?t mean unc
  5. +1 j.a.
  6. ? But what on earth possesses anyone to spend that sort of money anyway on their backward beliefs.? On the 4th anniversary of the Brexit vote, a timely question
  7. Hands up everyone - who believs tomdhu genuinely isn't aware of Hopkins and some of the thinsg she's written? Anyone as anti-eu as tomdhu will be well aware of the online opinions and campaigns this whole "I voted leave for genuine reasons and shucks gee I don't even know anyone who holds vile opinions" is so disingenuous as to be insulting https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-4633332/KATIE-HOPKINS-stand-strong-Brexit.html https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/04/18/katie-hopkins-russell-bra_n_7091674.html
  8. " so-called far-right " just keeps giving Glen - are you saying they weren't far-right? It's a confection? Like - what would people ACTUALLY have to do for you consider then to be genuinely far-right?
  9. Not sure where unc would be on the scale
  10. I?ll take a top 5 From ?a little bit worse? to ?how the hell are they allowed on twitter or even society??
  11. Out of curiosity. Who is considered ?more dangerous on twitter? than Hopkins and her ilk ?
  12. ?I think people might be calling you a racist unc? ?TO MY KEYBOARD. I?LL SHOW THEM !!!?
  13. Plus those bulbs were for sale aaaaages after the supposed date. These directives are never as problematic as many like to make out
  14. "It is acknowledged in the industry that the optimum power is around 1200Watt as this gives worthwhile suction. With 850W it takes twice as long to do a decent job - so the energy saving argument is negated." This sounds like a load of hot air Nobody sane genuinely takes twice as long to vacuum their house since and I've not noticed ANY difference at all - you are manufacturing outrage (and again you try and lift this navel-gazing nation's attention and speak to friends and family in other eu countries - no outrage. No bother. so what IS it about the English and their outrage at the EU eh?)
  15. And there was nothing stopping uk producers doing the same before Brexit was there It?s not that it?s unfathomable. It?s that it?s overhead in costs and red tape - which is the opposite of what was promised by leave. But the leave have broken pretty much every promise so just add it to the list I see the government are planning 4 months of ?shock and awe? information campaign to wake people up to the fact they need to prepare for end of transition I?d say anything that needs shock and awe is probably best avoided
  16. Yess every country try in the world? You didn?t need to inflict all that economic damage on yourselves Fresh air mate! I mean, it didn?t help the millions who died in the early 50s, but still
  17. I suspect jimlad doesn?t agree, to be fair
  18. I did wonder. I?m annoyed with myself
  19. You are just parroting lines detached from any reality
  20. But if you have to duplicate effort for multiple markets that is more red tape. That?s the point of the eu. Removing red tape You sell to multiple markets you increase red tape
  21. I used chicken farmers as an example But you can take any british business selling to new multiple markets and increasing paperwork and costs associated with multiple regulation regimes Your handwave ?world is changing? is meaningless
  22. Unbelievable Clueless even
  23. You have a farm. You sell, let?s say, 100 chickens a month Currently you sell to a known market In the future who do you sell to? Europe or America/England? (Remember you are competing with a bajillion others) You can?t split the difference and have two production methods on the farm
  24. Yes but who do british farmers sell to? And how do they manage both ?
  25. You don?t think it?s prohibitively/logistically expensive for companies to run dual lines ?
