  1. Trying to type a friends name into Facebook. Sometimes it comes up, then it doesn't, then it does then it gives something similar, then not...Moscow FFS..

  3. Maybe get *Bob* on board with his snow updates. I've missed them this year. 5. Holes all over it Pickle on further reading from aviation experts, of which I am not. Make a mean White Russian though... 6. Just read this on Twitter: https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z13cv1gohsmbv5jmy221vrfyiz3vdhbop04
  7. As I was walking past The Patch on the fine Sunday that's just gone, I looked up into the clear sky and saw a plane. Low hum at best. I remarked to my companion there is a whole thread about aircraft noise on the EDF. If I hadn't pointed out the plane it would have gone unnoticed, certainly no need to SHOUT. A simple way to test this surely is to have a pint or whatever outside The Patch with Fazer, and have a shouty conversation every time a plane goes over. Won't happen as there is no need to shout. Massive over exaggeration. I'm happy to have that pint by the way.
  8. Seems Buddug has seen the light, an avocado debacle then the parking fiasco. Small steps but a degree of understanding prevails. ETA: cats and bags.
  9. Do you mean taken down t-e-d, you know, because of stupid remarks. the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If anyone can get a project cancelled Barber Can. > Hope he's asleep for this one!
  10. A domestic appliance repair shop and sales room was always a favoutire of mine. I knew the guy that owned it.
  11. Thought t-e-d was making one of his legendary jokes and referencing The Shining. Johnnies was good. Bacon and egg doubler fine, egg bit overdone but staff were lovely. Was dining with MrBen and we got to thinking about a scorecard for caffs we visit. Some criteria we were thinking: Fluorescent Stars Fluorescent jackets Puggy Polystyrene cups for take away tea Serviette dispenser Toilet if present...or a walk through the kitchen A count of the times you are called Darling... Any more to add to the score card? ETA: A faded poster from Talksport
  12. I can't help but think Alan Partridge would advertise that Jeremy. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Quatro was my favourite... think it disappeared in > the late 80s.
  13. Johnnies it is then. Will test them out tomorra. Rolls, it's all about the rolls...
  14. SMBS make their own. Prices fluctuate... Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But just saying "ginger beer" is like saying > "cola". 15. This put a bounce in my step and sets up the weekend nicely...
  16. Irn Bru, in a glass loads of ice. Partial to ginger beer with a dash of lime cordial also with ice.
  17. Hang on a mo, spring onion? You are adding greens to a fry? Never seen that done before. Prettys adds a little flourish of greenery to their fried brekkies but this is easily put to one side. MrBen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Full of swingers with the Prince Albert. A > Waitrose. 19. Poor second rate sauce (red and brown), terrible sausages that are longer than the plate and non Heinz beans are 3 things that go a little way to ruining my brekkie. Always trade the sausage. Haggis, along with black pudd makes a rare treat with any brekkie. No chance of finding that on any of the fluorescent stars that act as a menu around here though. Don?t get me started about chippies!
  20. A set 2 in an old style caff. Cannae beat it.
  21. The must haves: bacon, fried bread, shrooms, tomatoes (sometimes tinned), egg (fried and runny) and Heinz beans. Will trade sausage for extra bacon. Black pudding if it's available, but seldom seen in the caffs round here. Partial to scrambled egg in a well buttered roll. The roll is crucial as you know. Never have chips for brekkie. That's unhealthy and can't be good for you. Wash it down with a mug of sweet tea
  22. Before The Blue Brick (the Stanley Kubrick) Cafe went veggie, it was a good fry. If a bit haphazard service at times. Prettys does a top notch fry which is huge. Down by The Cherry Tree is the Grove, Greek Cypriots running it and had some good frys there.
  23. Cross Roads Caff on Bellenden Road is incredible value. Great rolls that hold a bacon and egg doubler (egg burst and spread) well. Good mug of tea as well.
  24. Very good Maxxi...made me look. maxxi Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The "100" game...
