Are you joking? The police are too busy dealing with door to door beggars.. I think this an issue for our local MP to deal with.

  6. I've just been told it's going to become a trendy wine bar. FACT. Or possibly a Starbucks. Or a creche.
  7. Definitely a Waitrose. FACT. Or it might be a betting shop.
  8. Perhaps you should raise this issue with our MP?
  9. Hi Jess, Lucky you! I've also made a little solo trip of my own around South America including the countries that you mention. Am happy to share a few stories/hints/tips with you. Am off out now though so will drop you a PM or post here later on this W/E if you are interested. Don't worry too much about SteveT's horror story of a machete wielding mugger - of course, there is a chance you could get robbed at knifepoint anywhere in South America but then the same could be said all over the world. (Steve T - not for one second am I disputing your mate's story and it does pay to be cautious, but let's not scare Jess before she's even got to the airport;-) )

  11. On Sunday night / Monday morning my dad and a few of my friends, having failed to secure post Sup*rB*wl taxis, walked back to Addiscombe, South Croydon and Earlsfield*. They'd had a fair few and did liberate a small bottle of Jack Daniels from my drinks cabinet for the journey but nonetheless, they made it back home within 3 hours, up hill and down dale, in the snow. They did it for the economy. *Haven't heard back from this guy since but as his wife hasn't come calling I assume he made it back in one piece.

Not sure what it says about your sense of humour but your tolerance is admirable.
  13. ... 1) an ignore button 2) a smiley that bashes it's head against a brick wall. Thanking you.

A nice analysis, for sure, and I would hold my head in shame if I hadn't read the same bloody thing on The Washington Post website on Monday. I'd already seen your contribution on the rugby thread and was going to let it slide, let you have your 15 mins or whatever it is you desire to achieve from posting your incessant nonsense here, but seeing as how you've posted it a second time and claimed it as your own succinct and knowledgeable summary, I think that really does count as plagiarism and it needs be exposed. Hint: The prose, grammar and punctuation were a dead give away too. The Washington Post Excellent cut and paste skills though. Well done, gold star etc etc. P.S. I couldn't bring myself to read the previous rambling epic, as it was starting to make my eyes bleed and the repetition was, well, repetitive, like most of your other crap you seem to think people are interested in.

You're nowhere near warm but you are very close to being an absolute tos*er and something of a tremendous bore as well.

Not sure why on earth you'd want to know this, unless you were attempting some sort of idiotic, childish taunt related to my education.
  17. What has the colour of the ice got to do with anything? Bit racist if you ask me.

I still don't get your point, other than you don't seem to want other people to be able to watch or enjoy a sport that isn't soccer.

No need to shout, Sally. You've been all over the place in this thread and your reason for not liking the game seems to change with every post you make, hence, I don't get your point and you come across as doing nothing more than trolling. Somebody starts a thread asking where they can watch the Superbowl and you wade in spouting 10 types of nonsense about the NFL trying to overtake football and it being forced upon 'the little people of Britain'. Trolling nonsense.
  20. Or Wimbledon to Milton Keynes? I understand that it's not quite the same thing but it did happen.
  21. snorky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I have been to see the Seahawks & it was > marginally less dull than watching the Houston > Oilers ( or whatever they were called ) play > baseball for about 9 hours without, it seemed, a > clear winner. Anyone who has watched the Simpsons on a regular basis knows that baseball is only good fun when viewed through a pair of very thick beer goggles. Can't find a youtube clip I'm afraid but Homer said it so it must be true.
  22. Here you go, PeckhamRose - as seen from my 2nd floor bedroom window.
  23. Ditto that, Applespider. snorky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > American cultural imperialists > > the only people who like Merican football in the > UK are Expat septics, British dweebs, public > schoolboys & pro free market fascists :X What is your source for this, this...tripe? Where do pull your facts from? Justify yourself or feel my rage.(6) It's definitely not a game for grumpy old (wo)men so I can understand you not liking it, Snorky, but you're so very far off the mark with your silly generalisations. I usually appreciate what you have to say but I fear that you have lost your touch on this occasion.
