Sean, your comment about a younger rent boy caused a 'lol' or two...

I suspected there was more than one persona at work.

There is a licence application in the name of somerfield attached to the fencing. Seems they do intend to open on the site. I hope it won't have too much of an impact on the small traders nearby.

Police sipping lattes every morning in Starbucks in Sainsburys
Horsebox replied to krosfyah's topic in The Lounge
Perhaps they've been rat hunting and are a little thirsty from the chase? Or maybe they're practicing for the annual Southwark Cops vs Southwark Fireman latte drinking contest? Or maybe they are simply waiting for a dispatch call, and rather than wait in area X / the nick / driving around for said call, they are waiting in the Sainsburys Starbucks and having a piss-poor coffee whilst they're at it. Perhaps they are trying to build community relations with the old dears and milfs that have time to do their weekly shopping on a weekday morning? If it bothers you that much contact the borough commander and grass them up - the coffee drinking bastards! [email protected] -

I don't know. You might be. Are you? It is an open forum, can be viewed by anyone and a lot of local business owners and employees use it. You might get even get some feedback from the venue / staff member in question.

The Sloane Square Shared Use of the road experiment
Horsebox replied to PeckhamRose's topic in The Lounge
Haven't seen this - I avoid Sloane Square on my way home now. If this was on place 3-4 months ago then I can only say that I didn't notice any pedestrians taking extra care before walking out into the road. Have almost hit a few that have a stepped out in front of my bike like they didn't have a care in the world. Although this can happen anywhere...stupid pedestrians.(6) -

It's yet to open. I think they've only this week put the sign up. -
Found this morning on Village Way, a very distinctive set of keys. PM if they are yours . I will hand them in at East Dulwich Police Station tomorrow.

???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > TLS would heartily recommend Dixon of Dock Green > no doubt Arf, arf.:) I recently started watching it from S1, having seen a few episodes before but not really followed it, and found myself getting into it. If you're a fan of The Wire and The Sopranos I'd say give it a go. I've made it to S3 and have given myself a break - it does follow something of a formula but also brings in some good elements in the form of the character's back-stories and still manages to surprise as it is not always easy viewing, blurring the line between good / bad. I say you should do it.

What about concreting over the LL end of Goose Green? It's plenty big enough and might ease the "It's Saturday and I can't park within 5 metres of my front door" syndrome. It may also discourage those arriving from the north from driving up LL. -

But these areas aren't safe! And well we all know it! I still don't understand why some sort of 'limiter' can't be applied to Oyster cards, whereby if the holder of said card stays on the 12 bus (for example) beyond the first stop on Barry Road (another example), the bus is forced to a halt until the perpetrator alights the bus. It would stop a lot of 'cross border crime' and can't be that difficult to implement, can it? If the cost is an issue then the deficit should be met with an increase in SE22 area council tax.
