Anon strikes again. Edit: Edited by me, it's not the kid's fault. But I would have thought that this information is probably public information and available somewhere anyway?
  3. Update: I did go and vote. As you were.
  4. I cycled past at 7am today and the Court Lane entrance was open.
  5. I should probably go and vote at some point. But for who?
  6. Miaow!, *Bob*. Arf arf.

Well done for dropping it into a thread with such wild abandon and double points as it's in a sentence alongside a triple 'Barry'. I thought you were starting to lose your form - I see how wrong I was and for that I am thankful.

The twitter-mafia turning up en-masse does nothing for the OP's credibility as a reviewer.
  9. Good spot, Ted Max - Troll Hunter extraordinaire, and well done The Palmerston. Have only eaten in there twice, being something of a Franklins fan but will def pop in and sample your menu soon.
  10. He'll be back, with his tail between his legs. They always come back. He's probably reading this thread right now.

Surely you should be using your ability to see 'the future' and heading down to LL to try and prevent this event from actually happening?
  12. Sorry, I'll get my coat.:-$

Yes, there were quite a few, usually linked to his therapy sessions and often involving violence and meat. Although they were interesting and served a purpose, I would find it hard to imagine anyone else as Uncle June or, indeed, Tony himself, even as younger versions of these characters. Imagine somebody trying to do a decent impression of Silvio's downturned pouty face and that shrug?
  15. Snorky, are you absolutely sure she was from East Dulwich? This kind of behaviour is more commonly associated with people from Nunhead.
  16. I also heard about this sometime after the last episode. I read that it would be based around the rise of the Jersey family and with Johnny Boy Soprano and a much younger Uncle Junior as the central characters. Without using the key characters and actors that made the series so good (especially Dominic Chianese as Uncle June) it sounds like it has the potential to be 2 and a half hours of epic fail.

Only if it was organic, free-range and locally sourced chicken.
  18. Louisa, what's wrong with using the term 'blue collar'? The majority of the punters in The Castle are manual workers, builders and other tradesmen etc I agree that James's use of the word chav is offensive bollocks and out of line (but not that surprising given his penchant for flock wallpaper and chandeliers).

The best way to do it is to have more BBQs, invite even more women in bikini tops and drink even more beer. Good luck, the best is yet to come.
  21. You've changed, man.
  22. I used to go through Victoria quite a lot at about 6.15 -6.30 and there was always something open. As there are considerably more outlets now than 8 or so years ago I don't think you'll have any problem finding something. You could always try one of the hotel restaurants if you are stuck but this might be a bit pricier than what you had in mind.
  23. I'm much not of an NBA fan but I can't imagine that any 'personal fouls' would be anything too violent or threatening to an opponents safety / career, when compared to say, a sliding tackle, studs up into the leg. I imagine that on a team of 5 players, losing one of these would change the dynamic of the game much more than playing 10 against 11 in football for example and is therefore (partially) responsible for the rule that each team must have 5 players on the court at all times. Think I may have strayed slightly from your question, Matthew.
  24. Matthew, In theory yes it could happen but given that the game is inherently rough, the offending player would have to do something quite serious and potentially dangerous to get sent off (and plus receive a fine and also lose their team 15 yards on the field.) I'm not sure what it would do for their reputation either, amongst the opposition and possibly the fans as well. I agree with MrNick about the mutual respect system - there is a greater element of respect in American football than seems to exist in the FA.
