  1. Just tried to withdraw some money from the HSBC machine furthest from Co-op to pay for a cab. The transaction went through fine but when the message 'please take your card and wait for your money' flashed up, I could see the card trapped inside, unable to come out as it was hitting the bottom lip of the slot. It was eventually retained by the machine. Fortunately I had another card and so was able to use the Barclays machine. I suspect a faulty / damaged machine rather than foul play but you may wish to give the machine a wide berth until it's fixed.
  2. Tried the 'Poke' burger in The Draft House and can highly recommend it. Juicy & slightly messy, it comes with a chilli kick, a slice of old Amsterdam cheese and a couple of onion rings inside too. Definitely raising the bar for burgers in the area.
  3. I did exactly this on Monday evening and it couldn't have been easier. The only minor niggle was the 4S itself needing an update to latest iOS so as to be compatible with latest version of itunes - it took longer to update the phone than it did to install everything from the backup. It's pretty much an idiot-proof process and (so far) I haven't noticed any missing apps etc as SJ mentions. Usage wise the difference between the 3GS and 4S in terms of speed and definition is quite remarkable.

Answers: 1) Cows 2) Beef 3) Probably the same bathroom/toilet that he/she uses to urinate/defecate. Your worst attempt at trolling yet. 0/10

Bitters are > 45% ABV. Well yes, but given that it's a couple of drops in say, half a pint of soda, then the alcohol content is so low as to be non existent.
  9. Soda Water, fresh lime juice and a splash or 2 of bitters makes for a refreshing and tasty drink. Otherwise if you're really craving the cold beer hit then I'd recommend Bavaria 0.0% lager over Becks Blue. Check this site out Alcohol Free - they have some interesting beverages.
  10. This is very sad news. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Can't remember the name but it has just > about every kind of alcohol known to man. The shop is called Gerry's Wines And Spirits and stocks a very impressive selection of alcoholic beverages. A quick search on their website says that they don't stock eggnog but I would recommend giving them a call as they can usually order things on request or will know somewhere else that stocks it. Gerry, give Gerry's a call. www.gerrys.uk.com

  15. We had a similar problem last year with our old box. Called out a techy who kindly told us there was a loose connection between the rear-speaker pocket projector and the flux capacitor. This is (apparently) quite common in old Sony sets and it worked out cheaper to buy a new set.

You sound like a poor imitation Snorky. E2A: I was quite up for trying Meat Liquor, but the idea of cocktails served in jam jars strikes me as trying way too hard.
  17. If it's the one near BC Bikes then it looks like its being turned into a fish & chip shop. Do you enjoy a nice bit of fish, Thomas?
  18. So is 'Claudia Drezner' BBW or TLS?
  19. Intexas, curious as to why you bought an expensive, ugly & heavy bike? There's a whole world of custom cycles out there. Is it too late to return it and get something you'll be happy with?

Kidkruger, as I understand it people are striking over changes to a pension they were contractually promised when they started work. So in this case it is a 'right'. Happy to be corrected.
