  1. I've been reliably informed that the van was towed to this spot.
  2. Brian Tee, Can you please elaborate on the resurgence of 'old skool' hip-hop among teenage youth'? I'm intrigued.

This is surely post of the year. If you're being ironic then it's not the worst effort I've seen. If you're being serious then you're an idiot. Either way, well done.
  4. This is going exactly the same way as last weeks thread on cyclists. And every other thread on cyclists. Awesome.
  5. sarnge Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I say bring the bicycle bells back. Yes, let's do that. Where do I sign up for your campaign?
  6. In any normal week you'd have a lot of support and outrage about this but there's a bloke living in a van on Rodwell road - A VAN FOR GODS SAKE - so you're alone on this one, chica. Come to think of it, it was probably the tax dodging hippy in the van that caused these potholes in the first place. The mind boggles. You literally couldn't make it up. Etc etc
  7. So this is what's meant by local councils making cuts.
  8. CampervanMan, you've already parked outside my house once this month (up by The Castle) Will you be back any time soon? No curry, I'm afraid, but maybe a Guinness?
  9. missus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Resorting to personal condescension? How terribly > mature of you. This really made me chuckle. How terribly rich of you!
  10. Have you heard anything in response to your kind offer of curry, KK?
  11. missus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've posted 5 times out of 105 posts.... Yes, yes you have. Well done, you. That's not a bad percentage of the total. And like I said, they're some of the longest posts on the thread. Can you work out your contribution by word count as well?
  12. For someone finding this thread to be 'extraordinarily tedious' missus certainly can't stay away from it. In fact, she's made some of the longest posts on here. Please keep it up though, missus, this is an early contender for Thread Of The Year.
  13. I'm so excited about The Royal Wedding!!!! What's everybody on here preparing for their own (humble) feast in honour of the Big Day?!?!?!?
  14. The same van was parked outside our house a few weeks ago, and has been on previous occasions. I really can't see what the problem is here.
  15. I've been there this week on Monday & Tuesday. Water seemed clear enough to me and the level of chlorine fine. It's the first time I've been in the pool since opening so I don't have anything to compare it against.
  16. Good response from Mark Dodds. I'm not sure what more a business can to do try and change someone's perception. I haven't been to The Sun & Doves for a couple of years (for no particular reason other that it is slightly out of the way) but am tempted to return quite soon.
  17. Another vote for either The Lido Cafe or Number 22. Lombok I found quite average and lacking in flavour the last time I ate there and so wouldn't waste time or money again.

We will see. Lets hope you are right > and I am wrong. This was mentioned on the forum at the start of the year. I asked Nisha if it were true and she firmly denied it and asked me to post something to that effect (which I'm pretty sure I did). Mick Mac, have you a reliable source for your info, because it's terrible news if it is true.
  19. Poor Philby! This sounds absolutely horrifying! How many of these awful things do you get through your letterbox on a daily basis? I'm going out on a limb here, but have you considered attaching a small but prominent "No Junk Mail" sign to your front door? It may prove effective in deterring the offending scoundrels - average reduction rates of 75% have been reported in similar areas (Source:internet). Not really sure what you can do about the estate agent's crap. That does sound awful! It's no wonder you're sick :(

If the former, will they be roughly chopped, drizzled with extra virgin and served on toasted, garlic rubbed, slightly stale sourdough?

I for one would happily pay a 100% increase if they did. Poor little Maddy :( This country is going to the dogs. Not in my grandfather's time etc etc
  22. The Low End Theory Truly eclectic mixes from LA. @ felt-tip: if you like resident advisor then I suggest you get to know.

All sorted. Thanks, Pearson.
  24. @ sillywoman You might be wise to delete your post. Maybe Admin can step in or something?
