  1. The long horizontal handles look rather school kitchen industrial to me. I'd agree about the Ikea range, the Faktum carcasses are standard size (now with 25 year guarantee I see) so most other companies doors will fit them anyway if you decide to change them a few years down the line.
  2. Go for big tiles, I went for ones that are 300mm wide x 600mm high. The main advantage is there's not much grout to get all that cooking dirt and grease into so it's easy to keep the splash back clean. The gap between the kitchen surface and the bottom of the wall cupboards is usually about 600mm so should fit in nicely.
  3. they tend to prey on Banks as they have ideal floor space, any bank premises going? But anyway I thought the council had a cap on the number of bars & restaurants on Lordship Lane and the immediate area.
  4. 21 Lordship lane is the Black Cherry, 23 is Wates residential 26 is the shop next to White Stuff (soon to be Jojo bebe mamamamama or something) Are they looking to buy all those?
  5. GAP kids, preferable to momojobobobo? Should we count ourselves lucky that GAP didn't take that spot? [edited once]
  6. I was meaning "affordable housing" in the government scheme of things i.e it's made available to council/HA tenants and key workers but I still stand by the fact that I made a mistake and should have said key worker housing originally.
  7. I stand corrected, they are key worker housing
  8. the jojojo mamamam bebebe store is hoping to open early to mid December, I asked them and that's what they said.
  9. The flats opposite the Texaco garage, where the cinema used to be, are "affordable housing".
  10. I don't know much about baby clothes but this funny named shop JoJo Mama Tambien (or whatever) has this for ?10: http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/prod_images/thumbnails/a8525.jpg and Mothercare (a "non-boutique" place) has this for ?11: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41m75ikObzL._SY202_SX170_.jpg now my maths tells me that Mothercare is one English pound more expensive than the other place for a similar item. Are people just assuming that a shop has a funny name and is therefore a boutique and therefore exclusive baby clothes that are over-priced or am I missing something? And to get this back on topic, is there already a decent priced baby clothes shop in the area?
  11. Have you got a picture of it you can put on here woodie?

  14. Apparently more than 200 votes have been cast so far and I'm going to try and arrange for an email to be sent to all the 2,205 registered users in the next few days telling them about the vote.
  15. Eddie M I'd suggest posting the details of imminent home games in the what's on section of this forum. Thanks for that listing of games by the way, let's see if we can get a good turnout on the 17th.
  16. yes, too much hoofing the ball. Get the ball, hoof it up the pitch. Here comes an opposing player, hoof it up the pitch. Pass it to me, I'll hoof it up the pitch. Saying that I thought the number 11 had a good couple of good runs down the wing and showed the most potential. I also thought the new manager was rather quiet, I don't think I heard him shout or instruct the players at all which is what they needed, perhaps even if it was just to say "don't hoof the ball". If anyone fancies going to a game but are usure what to expect, there's a good post here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1782,1798#msg-1798 from last season by Huguenot. The star striker mentioned Chris Dickson was soon after signed by Charlton and is now netting the goals for Gillingham. [edited once]
  17. Perhaps you should call the flying squad
  18. It's discussed over here but I've no idea when it will open
  19. I think you may have got Dulwich DIY confused with somewhere else, there isn't a fat bloke in there (unless he's started in the last week or so since I've been in there). Maybe there's a fat bloke in the DIY shop by the Plough?
  20. I've gotten burned over Cheryl Tiegs, blown up for Raquel Welch
  21. I was meaning what's the process i.e. is it anaesthetised so that it won't feel pain (erring on the side of caution in case it can feel pain) or is it done in a way that it would feel pain (if it did feel pain)
