How do you know this? Can you please give us some evidence as the Administrator is likely to take your message off. You can't just accuse people and companies of doing illegal things without evidence you know...

And a big welcome to Daisylets, a new forum sponsor. They are a friendly, local company that will let out your property and find you tenants or find you somewhere to rent. They also have nice boards that go outside your property which is a refreshing change. This is what they say... Daisylets is a dynamic & independent property management company based in East Dulwich, SE22. Started by partners Claire & Eliot in recognition that there is a need for a decent, honest company to manage investment landlords' properties. Both partners are private landlords with years of experience letting their own property portfolios. They have also been tenants in the past so know exactly what each side expects and needs from an agent, and more often than not, doesn't actually get... for example we are happy to conduct Sunday and evening viewings if required. As management and lettings special-ists they are fully focused on the priorities and needs of landlords and tenants, and unlike estate agents, their attention is not diverted by dealing with property sales and mortgages. Daisylets are not jack of all trades; you won't be blinded by jargon or estate agent patter, fancy cars or sharp suits .. you just get a decent, honest service. Daisylets don't charge VAT ? resulting in a significant saving compared with high street agents. Contact Details: Tel:020 8693 2480 [email protected] www.daisylets.com ********************** All new sponsors are announced like this

Next Forum Drinks - Friday 12th October at the George Canning
Mark replied to georgia's topic in The Lounge
Hi Georgia, you were missed on Friday. The Bishop gets pretty rammed on a Friday, so a suggestion would be the Uplands. Big space, quiet on a Friday, cheap(ish) drinks, we'll bring the atmosphere... -
Sounds odd to me, I don't understand why it's full of mum's and babies yet there's claims that they're not welcome. I reckon it's a misunderstanding, as Mellors said she's fed her baby in there without problems. If I go past there today I'll ask them what their policy is to clear this up.

OK... Thank you to everyone who made a contribution to the evening, it was very much appreciated and enjoyed Thank you for the raffle donations from Green & Blue, Southwark News, Foxtons, Wellbeing Well and Health Matters, about ?200 was raised and I'll be making the donation to St Christopher's Hospice next week (and thank you LadyGooner for collecting). Thank to everyone for coming, it was a great evening and really good to put faces to names. I really enjoyed it and it was great to hear so many people say that they enjoy the forum and find it fun and useful. Have a lovely weekend Mark Ps I seem to have acquired eight brand new books that were left at the end of the night including Tough Love by Kerry Katona, The Battle for Big school by Sarah Tucker and Seve by Seve Ballesteros. Anyone want to claim them?

I think this calls for a slice of audacity with a slight drizzle of flamboyancy and a side dressing of bada-bing Colliers Wood

Haven't heard of anyone else having the time out problem but keep me posted, to be honest it sounds like a connection problem at your end. Re. it being slower, have you tried resetting the new posts? Go to the forum's home page and click reset new posts on all the different sections, that may help. Let me know how you get on.

music wanted for Friday's party - bring an iPod / mp3 player
Mark replied to Mark's topic in The Lounge
Yes, it is a headphone jack plug that will go into any mp3 player. Brendan, the entrance to get upstairs on party night is to the left of the bar, is that right? I've been to have a look but both times I went through the right side which I think is the staff entrance but I think I should let people know on the announcement. Thanks -
I thought this maybe of interest to people living in The Gardens as I believe they're the gardens mentioned in the article that are owned by Tilt. Grainger acquire portfolio of 309 units in London (taken from construction and maintenance news) British residential property firm Grainger plc has acquired the entire shareholding in The Tilt Estate Company Limited, which owns over 300 residential units, for ?47.9 million. The total property portfolio is valued at ?62.5 million and is located in East Dulwich, London, SE22, with the majority of properties situated around a private garden square. Two thirds of the properties are subject to assured shorthold tenancies and over 50 are subject to regulated or assured tenancies. They therefore increase and strengthen Grainger's existing portfolios. In addition, the portfolio is in line with the Company's acquisition criteria, as it offers a number of opportunities for Grainger's in-house property and asset management teams to add value. This is particularly significant to ensure the benefits from any potential long term upside in this improving area are delivered. The portfolio currently generates a total rent roll of ?2.2 million per annum. A number of the properties are currently vacant and therefore offer immediate opportunities to enhance income and the assets' underlying value. The purchase, from Wainford Holdings Limited, has been funded from existing facilities.

music wanted for Friday's party - bring an iPod / mp3 player
Mark replied to Mark's topic in The Lounge
I was yes, but all are welcome so I've now changed the title now to appeal to the minority as well. -
there's this post about playing music on Friday
-
The Magdela have a sound system which people can plug their mp3 players into, so please feel free to make a 30-60 minute play list to play on the night. It's a smallish room that holds about 70 people and it'll be background music so please don't bring banging hardcore techno but rather something that will gentle massage the ears of those that listen to it enabling them to relax and enjoy the evening. Please let me know below if you're interested as I may have to create an order of playlist. I'll start and play some music for the first half hour/hour and I know Mockney may play some tunes, anyone else?

So how would I go about organising a street party? Is there a street party department of the council I could contact? Who organised yours and could I contact them to find out more?
