  1. That's great, thank you :-)
  2. It's my sister's 30th today, I've been tasked with buying balloons.... Is there anywhere locally? I seem to remember the florist (Sally's) does them..... Is this the case and does anywhere else if they have nothing suitable?
  3. Nabs, if your considering the Cameleon now, it is a fantastic buggy! My daughter slept really well in it and it's lovely to push. Its major flaw being it doesn't fold in one piece and doesn't fold very small. This is no problem at all if you have the space to leave it up all the time, and the main use is walking around locally. If you go anywhere in the car it takes a lot of space up in the boot and its not at all practical to fold it on the bus. After 6 months I bought a Maclaren techno to live in the boot of the car and use on busses if there was ever a need and for car trips where a buggy handy but not going to get much use. This worked really well until I needed a double buggy! I would recommend going somewhere like John Lewis that has a good selection to compare and having a try out, also as someone mentioned earlier, there are plenty of mums locally who would be happy for you to try out their buggies. Whatever you decide, there is a good second hand market :-)
  4. Omg! I never knew that existed!! On a cold winters day though ;-)

Couldn't agree more Pickle!
  6. As I said earlier, buggies are very much like shoes...... You need a selection to cover all eventualities ;-)
  7. Using the term correctly, and certainly comes across that way a lot of the time:-)
  8. I should be doing CPD points, instead I'm chuckling at this! George is cool and Peppa is not! I agree! I've downloaded some episodes on YouTube before now, no adverts then but same problem that I knows there are more where that came from! I don't get waybuloo or in the night garden at all ....... Enlightenment anyone? I'm loving the miss mouse theory, can't believe I missed it ;-)
  9. Totally agree Snowboarder, on all counts! Pre kids I'm ashamed to say I thought staying at home with kids was an easy life! Now I would choose a bad day in the office as being a far easier option than a bad day at home! That said a good day at home beats the best days at work hands down, although I miss drinking tea hot, eating my lunch when I fancy it and visiting the bathroom alone ;-) That aside, I am tempted by a Bee myself for when I just have my youngest with me, or with a buggy board for the pair of them. At what age does a Bee and buggy board become a sensible option for the eldest to travel? I sooooooo can't wait to ditch the double!! I think the Bee plus is likely to last longer size wise with a toddler, would you agree? I've not compared the two side by side.
  10. Way to go Amyw :-) Saying what everyone else thinking! unfortunately I don't think Zeban is a troll, just a young lady that has strong opinions on lots of subjects she has little or no practical experience of! I try (unsuccessfully) not to rise to it too so will say no more but stick to the thread. Pushchairs are like shoes..... There simply is not one that is suitable for everything! I had a Cameleon which I loved, was forced to change to a double buggy which does the job but is by no means perfect. The bugaboos are lovely to push and so light! Lots of my friends bought Bee's they are fantastic London buggy's, only downside from what I've seen is older toddlers can get quite big for them, that's the price for the size convenience and a good excuse to encourage walking ASAP :-)
  11. I loves to show us her groovy moves too, def tops all the other songs. Am picturing the crying like George!!! I found Peppa Pig on Nikleodeon this morning, was fab as I got to drink hot tea but the adverts in between were awful!!! Loads of toys clearly intended for Christmas lists!!
  12. All important stuff! I seems most taken with Momo but maybe will change her mind in a few months when she gets to T's age! She discovered Peppa Pig on holiday, didn't seem to mind it being dubbed into Greek!
  13. We had green and brown collected today..... Blue is next week for us, we are off of Crystal Palace Road. Anyone know the details of the company that comes round and jet washes bins? Our green bin is disgusting :-(
  14. Def worth checking. I was advised the private rooms were private only, never used for NHS patients. Sillywoman, are you referring to the NHS single rooms or the hotel like double bedder private rooms?
  15. Flip flops a must for the shower room. It's HOT there so cool clothes.

Can't > help but think they're easy targets for thieves :( I thought that too...... It's a fantastic invaluable service, just crap to benefit fully you put yourself at risk of muggers :-(
  17. I asked about this when I had a C Section there in May. There are side rooms available on a need basis. If one is free they will let you have it despite not needing it as such. The private rooms are for private patients, you are not able to pay for them. To have one of these rooms you have to pay privately for your csection. I was on a ward which was fine, far better than I expected although I did make sure I only spent one night there. My partner didn't stay but the staff were fantastic, couldn't fault them.
  18. I've experienced one item of a multi buy being unavailable before, Ocado still honoured the discount price though. Their customer service is excellent, give them a call / email and I'm sure they will sort something out for you.
  19. It's usually an add on to your existing cover.
  20. My slot was between 130 and 230 (Vodafone). Came around 2 :-)
  21. Excluding the castle as the Castle is my closest pub, I've popped in there for a drink or two on occasion :-)
  22. Exactly! It's just inviting the Council to eventually change the entire area to a revenue making permit area!
  23. Can't wait :-) Mag is my local too, also excluding the Castle!!
  24. 13....... Needs to ba a huge spare room!
