  1. I thought charity's only wanted the perfect stuff. I suspected that charities that actually use the clothes rather than sell them may be happy to accept them but wasn't sure..... Is there anywhere local that would use them? The marks may even come out, maybe a soak in vanish, another wash and hung out to dry on a sunny day....
  2. Having so far kept all my daughter and son's baby clothes, I am rapidly reaching the situation of having more kids clothes than Mothercare! Really do need to sort through it all. The newborn/ young baby clothes are all barely worn and perfect condition so easy to rehome My daughter does however have some outgrown clothes that although not at all worn out and loads of wear left, do have the odd mark on. Nothing major, just nit perfect. Seems very wasteful to bin these but then what can be done with them? Any ideas?
  3. Moon pig do them too, v efficient and fast delivery.
  4. I've got a Phil&Teds too, I use one of the skip hop change mats hanging off the handle for nappies and wipes and then the underneath section for spare clothes, sun hats and cream etc I also have a small insulated snack bag which I hang off the handles, although this does fit underneath as does the change mat - just more convenient having them accessible.
  5. Probably just need to update the software. Edited to say oops, down in Devon with pretty much nil coverage...... This posted later than I posted! Hadn't seen the other responses saying the same!
  6. Is anyone able to answer my question as to why this school excludes all non Catholics rather than designating a certain number of places as faith like other faith schools?
  7. Agree you did the right thing! My nephew is 5 and would definitely know that was naughty and inappropriate behaviour! Also he would never do such thing, neither would his 3 year old brother for that matter!
  8. The cover of your buggy hood comes off and go through the washing machine. Comes up perfect :-) (assuming that you are who I think you are ;-))
  9. Christians kept away too...... Catholicism is not the only Christian faith.
  10. Not intending to add fuel to the fire, genuinely interested..... Why do catholic schools only admit catholics whereas their CoE counterparts have non faith places? Surely church attendance is more likely to increase if non catholic children were admitted too? The irony is it's the parents religion not the kids that counts, the kids are not old enough to choose. As for anyone can choose to be catholic...... Surely that's not the case, do you not need to believe and have faith?
  11. Baby jogger 2 fantastic for dog walking, copes with all terraine! No good for new-borns though, is 6 mths plus as doesn't recline. I've one if you want to look at what they are like.
  12. I've a quest and it's great as a car boot / holiday buggy. Also, maclarens come with a 10 year guarantee which is pretty good, shows how hardwearing they are. I went to John Lewis at Bluewater and looked at them all, the Techno did seem to be quite significantly bigger, fine if an everyday buggy but not so convenient for my needs. The John Lewis assistant I spoke with rated the quest too, she steered me away from the Obaby's, said they had a lot of returns as they don't last very long..... Not really an issue if an occasional use buggy.
  13. We are free tomorrow, we are SE22 based. I will have baby and toddler though, is anyone else bringing a toddler?
  14. We have done the underwater any swimming since my daughter was 4 mths, we were taught as described by Fuschia. Was traumatic ( for me) at first but at 17 mths she is a water baby and unfazed going under, jumping in etc
  15. I got badly burned in Greece when I was around 12. It was a recommendation there that natural live yogurt is put on the affected area. Unfortunately for me my mum could only find banana in the Greek supermarket... Certainly was very soothing from memory!! I also second the aloe Vera tip.
  16. It was ?1.50 for two pints. As for how it's going to work...... I have a friend who is a GP, we were chatting last night and she said that current research indicates that consumption of raw milk and cheese reduces the likelihood of developing allergies, asthma, and eczema . As I am currently b/f my son, She recommended I use the raw dairy with a view to preventing him developing asthma and eczema given that I am asthmatic and my partner has eczema so he has a higher likelihood of developing the conditions. He is a sicky baby which may also improve too. I did some googling after the conversation and it certainly sounds worth a try, sufferers of asthma and eczema have apparently found their conditions to improve or clear up entirely once making the switch. All comes down to the good bacteria being destroyed by heat and the composition of milk changing..... If anyone's interested I will add some links..... Will let you know if I see any improvements :-)
  17. Got some from the Cheese Man :-) thank you BB Now to see if it works......
  18. You can clean and tidy the house in one go......
  19. Dr Alison Davidson is lovely, would recommend.
  20. Thanks BB that's great, will go down there today:-) From what I've read I suspect Franklins won't sell, unless they have a farm it would npbe illegal to do so :-(
  21. Let's not even mention the puke on the shoulder I currently sport daily like a fashion accessory!
  22. They lay eggs in carpets.... Getting your carpets cleaned will kill any eggs in the carpets.
  23. Uncivilised neighbours?
  24. Nobody wakes you up at 3.30am!!
  25. Thank you :-) I was looking at that website earlier, it's rather expensive by post but I saw they are at Borough Market on a Thursday and Saturday, which led me to hope there may be other suppliers at the more local farmers markets. I didn't realise there was one at DC tomorrow, may wander up there and take a look. There appears to be a supplier at the Sunday Blackheath Farmers Market so another potential lead. Also Brixton has a farmers Market too on a Sunday but couldn't find any mention of a supplier at that one.
