  1. I had my little boy at Kings on Tuesday morning :-) Look forward to seeing you all soon x
  2. I had an emergency C Section last year when I had my daughter, and then an elective on Tuesday when I had my son. I had him 11.52 Tuesday morning and was home by 6pm on Wednesday! Kings were fantastic and I really couldn't have asked for better care. I wanted to go home ASAP since my daughter is only 15 months and they were supportive of this despite originally advising a 2 night stay necessary. This time round was so different! Recovery even seems easier so far.... My tips would be to get mobile ASAP post op! I also cooked loads of food and filled the freezer with home made "heat up" food, organised for my mum to stay for a week to help out with my daughter and generally just been really organised so I could take it fairly easy this week. It really has been far easier and less painful than I expected! Very diff to an emergency one!!
  3. I have the Medela swing too, works really well!
  4. Penny Hill Park has fantastic facilities! Def recommend.
  5. There is a buggy park outside the pool which seems well used. There is also a large parking area, both of which are enclosed and not visible from the road (the road is very quiet and suburban like).
  6. My partner did this through Eden, he said he contacted them through their website, they then got back to him about 15 mins later and set everything up for him.
  7. Tube quicker.... Northern line to Bank and then Central line to Holborn. Admittedly haven't used that bus but agree 19 mins seems to be unlikely that time of morning. Good luck
  8. I found Baby Sensory really good, each class is different and they incorporate lots of different things. I started taking my daughter at around 4 mths until nearly a year but officially they are 0 - 13 mths.
  9. Baby swimming (babyswimming.co.uk) use a private pool at a house nr Dulwich College. They also hold lessons in a hydrotherapy pool in Herne Hill.... The private pool is warmer although neither cold!
  10. Not any longer..... North cross road now, through the gates and behind the hairdressers.
  11. I like Sydney for a girl too, it was on our list..... my only concern was that it was too unusual, clearly not, can save for next time :-) (if there is a next time)
  12. Amazing book:-) Paulinna Simons?
  13. Oh no..... Think I will more than likely miss your stall :-( am booked in for a C Section on the 3rd so not sure I will be shopping by the 7th! Def would love to see piccies of all the stock beforehand!
  14. I agree, dress idea is fab and pattern isn't masculine so the vests work for boys and girls alike:-) Prices sound good with discount for multi purchases another good idea. Good luck with the stall :-)
  15. Whereas this is not in the least bit racist!!! Erm ....... 16. I know someone whose 3 children are called Atticus, Scout and Boo, great book :-)
  17. "ClareC - I wanted to book on the 3rd too but they > told me there were already quite a few people > booked for that day... I guess you were one of them. What was your due date" By scan 7th May but I'm certain it's actually the 4th. Waiting til the 3rd is a bit close for comfort given my daughter was born only 1 day after her EDD! My waters broke within half an hour of going to bed on the due date! I'm up for meeting up on Friday, Thursday no good as I am having a pamper afternoon whilst I still can! Cx
  18. Your ahead of me and I am booked in for the 3rd! It's all been rather hectic and Ive not been able to do all the prep Ive desperately been wanting to do until this week (we had building work done so have had very limited use of Kitchen and lots of brick dust!). Anyway......... house now clean, carpets clean (still damp as I type), babies clothes, bedding and baby gym etc all washed. Just need to fill the freezer and pack bags. Was planning to use Mike (Bon3acre?)of Bellpepper fame but the website doesnt seem to be working so may have to attempt a cookathon (no mean feat with a 15mth toddler). Ho hum.... all the important stuff done thankfully and although bags not yet packed I have my list (MUCH shorter than first time round!!)
  19. Thank you :-) hope the noise by you stops ASAP. I've an earlyish start tomorrow so I suspect your right about the not sleeping! My daughter is now sleeping soundly!!
  20. Are the residents of Goodrich officially more accomodating?
  21. Oh dear....... Got any earplugs? Nice and quiet here, well was until my daughter decided she was thirsty! Now can't sleep but v tired!!what's all that about?
  22. Glad it's not just me :-) Builder definitely got roared at this evening.... almost felt sorry for him but then he should know better than to cross an 8 1/2 mth pregnant woman!! Totally relate to the clean babygro's in the correct drawers, I have been busy washing everything that moves and drying on the line in this lovely weather - have vacuum packed clean babygros until Thursday when I hope we will be blissfully dust free.... after my roaring tonight we will def be dust free just may not have the snagging done ;-)
  23. Thank you :-) Have calmed down a bit now (without full on tantrum thankfully) perhaps the medicinal small glass of wine I had with dinner may have helped!! Certainly feel's as though it never rains but it pours but then I think about the positives and can't help but think that none of that lot really matters in the grand scale of things! Bring on the pooping foxes ;-) Will get back to painting the kitchen now :-)
  24. Can I have one? I am having baby two, two weeks today. I have a house covered in brick dust post building work (which has over ran and finished late) and have organised for my cleaner to spend the day here tomorrow cleaning the entire place top to toe in anticipation of the new arrival, I have the carpets booked to be shampoo'd first thing Thursday morning ie coinciding with the cleaner's major clean. The builder, who I waited for for months despite the impending birth as I know he is really good, a nice guy and trustworthy has not come back and finished the last few bits before tomorrow and wants to come tomorrow despite me categorically stating that tomorrow was absolutely no go and everything had to be done before then ie so the clean comes POST build. Now, the work has over ran by a week, not a massive amount of time I know, but we have cleaning and decorating to do before baby arrives and a totally unmoveable end date - have a C Section. Ive been more than accomodating allowing out of hours work, weekends etc yet it seems this one basic request has fallen on deaf ears!! They want to come tomorrow to which I have said NO!!! Im not happy them coming after at all TBH as there will be a mess AFTER the house and carpets have been cleaned which kinda defeats the object. I have no car, its at the garage as some chap's foot slipped off the brake whilst we were all sat at red lights and he went into the back of me. The bloody foxes not only dug up my garden (as per usual every night) but last night shat on my patio table AND my tenants (house out of London) have not paid any rent since January despite renewing the lease immediately beforehand - they did make a part payment last week (20% of rent owed which the agent took most as a renewal fee (bloody cheek). Oh and I have lost my voice! The icing on the cake today was some scumbag thief entering my front garden and helping themselves to building stuff that was waiting collection! Not my personal loss but none the less I am less than happy to have thiefs on my property :-( So much for taking it easy in the run up to having the new baby! Right now I feel like laying on the floor and screaming just like my toddler does when things are not going her way............ My toddler who has been playing up no end due to being wholly unimpressed by the interruption builders bring to her routine! Grrrrr am I just pregnant and letting things get to me or is this a normal run of general life? I feel like hibernating and waking up once everything sorted and baby here !!!
