  1. I'm the same..... Tired but love the uninterrupted time, seem to get a new lease of life and stay up far later than I should!! Am then tired when up in the night and the following day!
  2. You can eat "bad" food without hiding the fact you are doing so from small people!
  3. You can eat a bowl of fruit and fibre without a toddler picking out all the fruit leaving you with just the dull fibre!
  4. And it's possible to put a load of washing on without someone changing the programme half way through......
  5. I'm guessing not...... Can only legally be purchased from the farm direct, not supermarkets. Anyone know if there are any local farmers markets that sell it?
  6. I know it can be purchased at Borough Market but wondered if there is anywhere local that sells it. Thanks C
  7. I've got the P&T Vibe 2, it's easy to push, can be pushed one handed etc and generally I like it, cons are it's awkward to manouvre in small spaces and a bit heavy, although lighter and easier to manoeuvre than the other P&T's I tried.
  8. Being fit feels a long time ago....... I do have an incentive which may be quite mad. I am a ski leader (or at least was up until having children), in order to continue I have to do a refresher course (necessary for insurance purposes) which is fairly hardcore, mainly off piste skiing and avalanche training. Usually the courses are run in December and April so I intended to do April, however, it's not running in April now so it's December or nothing :-( Really want to do it but December doesn't give me much time to get super fit (the fitter you are the easier it is). Also I have only skied one week in the last two seasons rather than @ 5 weeks previous seasons so my skiing is not going to be top notch and there is little chance to get a week of skiing in first. Then there is the issue that my new baby will only be 8 months and my attitude to risk has changed somewhat........ Hmmm pass the biscuit! I like the sound of an excercise collective, sounds a great idea. I do have a double buggy but am not sure how successful power praming with a toddler is likely to be, the baby will be easy but my daughter isn't so keen on being stuck in a buggy these days - although if she is being pushed fast it may work! Will look into BMF and have a chat with the Dr as to how soon I can run. My partner works from home so at least if I chose my times carefully I may manage to do some exercise without the children and without his work being interrupted ie when they are asleep! Love the idea of an early morning run but think that will need to wait until I am not up in the night. Skiing aside I still need to get fit! Now I have written down all my concerns with the course it does sound unrealistic :-(
  9. Pre children I used to do loads of exercise (ran most days and went to the gym at least 3 time a week). I obviously had to limit this when pregnant with my first and although I didn't put on a huge amount of weight and did get back into my pre pregnancy clothes, I was never the same shape and didn't get fit again before getting pregnant again. To be fair I couldn't start running again for quite a while due to having a C section, my gym membership was in the city and I was pregnant again once my first was @ 6mths! Anyway, having now had no 2 7 weeks ago, I really do need to start thinking about getting fit again but am struggling to work out how to fit it in with caring for a baby and a toddler! When can I realistically safely start running again post C Section and are there any gym's / classes with cr?che facilities so I can actually do the required exercise? Would love to join BMF but simply don't have the child care to make it possible. Also although I have a baby jogger, number 2 is too young to sit in it and have nowhere for him to go if ran with number one! How on earth do you juggle excercise with children? Am thinking I am destined to stay unfit and retain my jelly belly!
  10. Hungry? Sounds obvious but I remember my daughter being inconsolable shortly after a feed so I assumed it wasn't hunger....Having tried everything it was. I soon learnt that during presumably growth spurts she would feed pretty constantly. Good luck
  11. Looked like a nasty accident. Went past 20mins ago, lots of police, road blocked and a car in the middle of the roadn:-(
  12. Toddler 17mths and baby 7 weeks! Happy to do it, just waiting for a call back :-)
  13. Being woken up in the night! Will be a while yet......
  14. Tue am doesnt work for me at all since my toddlers swimming lessons are then. If there is a meet on another day would love to join you all.
  15. I think there is a scary statistic that you are never further than a few metres from a rat! Not sure how accurate it is but the gist is they are pretty common, seeing one in the garden doesn't't mean they are in the house. My first house backed onto a railway line, saw one in the garden once and they never came indoors. That said, we had bird food in the shed, they gnawed through and ate it along with a parasol!! Only other time we were aware of then was when the green bin lid got broken off into the dust cart - woke up to hear loads of banging outside, really scary but investigation showed it to be a rat in the green bin! It had jumped in to get at the rubbish but then couldn't get out again so was jumping trying to jump high enough ti escape. Amazing how high they can jump, very nearly as high as a green bin ..... But not quite!!
  16. My baby boy brings up small amounts of milk, not necessarily straight after a feed but certainly not a full feed, projectile or anything significant. I was a sicky baby according to my mum so I've just assumed he is like me. There are odd days when he seems to be sick more frequently but generally it's nothing too bad, just a bit unpredictable. The wind is more in the stomach, it's bottom burps ;-) that seem to upset him, seems to be afternoons for some reason. Unlike my daughter he doesn't seem to poo very frequently which I understand is quite normal for a b/f baby. Amazing how two children born a year apart with the same parents can be soooooo different!
  17. I hope so..... I will mention to them the problem, baby is easy but toddler does not take kindly to being stuck in a buggy stationary! Scans for number 2 were a nightmare, my partner generally didn't get to see much of the scan since the 4 hour waits meant one extremely fed up toddler and two very stressed out parents! Fingers crossed I can organise an appointment when my daughter is at nursery! I've only recently had baby 2 by c section, shame they can't use the blood results from then, although I realise this wouldn't be possible.
  18. Did the Dr indicate how to tell the difference between reflux and just windy? I'm feeling guilty now just incase it's more than wind... :-(
  19. Definitely needs reporting to the RSPCA, he isn't fit to own animals!
  20. I'm happy to do it but does anyone know how long the appointments take for the blood tests? Are they done at Kings? I don't relish the idea of dragging a baby and toddler on the bus to sit in a windowless toy less waiting room for hours as was my experience of all my antenatal appointments :-(
  21. You have my sympathies! I have exactly the same problem, baby is 7 weeks and toddler is 17 mths. It has definitely got better though. I find the baby is happy upright. I use a sling, bouncy chair and swing in the day. I also use infacol and gripe water plus do the stomach massage and leg cycling. The last few nights he has settled fine. As for toddler waking.... We had the same problem, my partner deals with her when it happens and I've found closing our bedroom door and me leaping up to the baby as soon as he stirs has helped! Its hard as we want to be close enough to hear her but could do with being further away so she doesn't get disturbed!!
  22. That's disgusting and so sad. What a vile, evil man. He must be local to there, can he be identified and reported? I'm not suggesting a witch hunt on here but wondering if your housemate would recognise him again and if he regularly walks this way. Sounds horrific, the dogs should at least be muzzled and he should not be permitted to keep dogs!
  23. Denmark hill horrendous too!
