    Clowns

It's an old thread but Viz have finally identified the dangers presented by clowns !
  4. Seenbeen that's a truly sad state of affairs, that kids are so brainwashed into eating badly that they choose it over healthy options. I wonder if the adverts were banned and healthy options are promoted from a young age, then over say ten years, that the nation's diet would change as young people aren't indoctrinated into poor diets ? Something's got to give before the waistbands of the nation does.
  5. The first rule of banned on twitter club is ....
  6. Also worth a gander at this website and they offer an app (if you want to install it) that gives you the score of processed foods so that you can try and eat healthier ones https://world.openfoodfacts.org/
  7. There is a fascinating (long) read on how ultra processed foods took over our shopping baskets in the Guardian Well worth a read over a chocolate biscuit but I hope after reading it you will think about reducing your chocolate biscuit and other ultra processed foods consumption. https://www.theguardian.com/food/2020/feb/13/how-ultra-processed-food-took-over-your-shopping-basket-brazil-carlos-monteiro?CMP=share_btn_tw
  8. There is an article on the BBC today that said Walls ice cream are going to stop aiming adverts at the youth and produce healthier treats. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51479770 This really is the tip of the obesity iceberg problem IMHO. Should all junk food adverts (burgers, fried chicken and fast food delivery services for example) be banned on screen,in print or other media to help promote a healthier diet as out of sight is out of mind ? Or is that promoting a nanny state ?
  9. I've watched various documentary films on the spread of viruses including the modern version of Planet of the Apes and World War Z and based on how quickly a virus spreads because of air travel I can honestly conclude we're all doomed !
  10. Thanks Abe "Trump" Froeman, that will keep those pesky Mexican car drivers out of East Dulwich 🤔😂 Abe_froeman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes we should close East Dulwich Grove and > Lordship lane to traffic too during pick up and > drop off for the Harris schools. 11. Great advice Bels123, but what proactive measures are being taken by the local and response police teams to catch the person smashing car windows ? Advice is fine but it now seems to be a mini crime wave that needs urgent action to solve ! Also is it specific to one ward or is it occurring in neighbouring wards which requires more coordination between teams ?
  12. Energy efficient LED lights I believe, as a result the light is brighter and starker and it's happening in other boroughs too.
  13. I was amused by the fact if you click on the image by foxy it takes you to his flicker account showing the image Clicking right in flicker shows First the veg curry Then a black and white kitty Then another curry Foxy are you secretly adding extra "cat meat" to your curry ? 😱😂
  14. RIP my namesake
  15. They tell you that it's an automatic payment and they can stop it but need your account or bank details and often ask you to install software on your phone or PC to allow them to help you cancel the subscription and bobs your auntie they have access to your finances. It was highlighted on rip of Britain recently ! .. Just put the phone down when they start the recorded message
  16. Amazing Can it also make a bacon sandwich ?😂
  17. Obviously a body that's been bricked in by your neighbours builders slowly decaying 😱 Have they gotten divorced recently or changed nannies ... Joking aside it could possibly be a dead animal trapped or alternatively an ammonia-like odor after a period of rain could be caused by mold. Water promotes mold growth, and odors from mold are more noticeable when the area is wet, There maybe a broken roof tile or something is getting wet behind the walls (pipe not joined correctly for example) As mentioned earlier ask your neighbour to see if they can smell anything as that will help track where it is.

  20. @siouxsiesue will there be Cider ?
  21. Interesting that they are proposing parking controls in the Dulwich village side of lordship lane... Does this mean extending the new CPZ by default ? Trust in this council will be at an all time low if they are.
  22. Abe Complaining is the first step in the process and must be undertaken so that you can get a letter dismissing your claim which then supports a request to https://www.lgo.org.uk/ to review the councils decision. Yes the previous objections have appeared to be ignored but this is an important step that is required first. As to whom to complain to , I would suggest copy emails / letters to the following people Leader of the council Head of parking Your local councillor Sorry I don't have addresses for any of them but if anyone does then feel free to post them here.

As stated, tell the store manager, putting it on here won't give the store the information it needs to rectify the situation unless the manager is an avid reader of the forum. My suspicions are that they don't read the EDF. If the manager isn't interested then contact head office
