@malumbu you're always quick to turn on drivers and never seem to acknowledge cyclists are also liable to break the rules and cycle badly. Whilst the argument that a car or hgv will cause more damage is valid, surly even you must agree that we should all use the roads safely and sensibly? Demonising motorists without also condemning poor cycling is a very one sided argument and one that is getting weary. Cyclists aren't angels until they are!!

Justvloolung at a marker on a map doesn't give you context. Force candle, a number of incidents around a junction should lead to questions concerning the junctions design, sight lines and other factors before jumping to conclusions on cause. Each incident needs to be reviewed to understand causation and impact to understand more about results. It's easy to draw conclusions either way but they are simply speculation without understanding detail

When reported crime in an area starts to increase or peak, police resources are extracted from SNT teams in areas where crime is perceived to be lower and temporarily used to resolve the issue. Unfortunately with numbers so low at the moment it's not a great situation as it leaves other areas short and potentially vulnerable to other crimes. Public confidence in the police is low after incidents over the past few years, wages aren't great and recruitment isn't keeping up with attrition, therefore something has to change to get numbers back up and people feeling safe again. Equally the prison situation with early telease, shorter sentences or even some judges being lenient on low level crimes doesn't help either. A complex situation that has been caused by multiple factors all of which need attention and huge funding is only going to get worse before it gets better.

Peckham, as a major town centre, needs investment and development, the Aylesham Community Action group over the past few years seem determined to keep it down and undeveloped and not once have they put forward alternatives to improve it. A development of this size will bring more people into the town centre catchment area and as such additional spending which will help change the offering in Peckham. Equally it will change the Aylsham centre which needs a boost of this nature to make it a destination point. Southwark urgently needs more housing and this is a great solution for it, there are a few very hidden old shops and buildings scattered around but the development area is a supermarket and car park so not a heritage site. I am sure, like me, you are fed up of the grafitti blight in the town centre caused partially by the closure of Rye Lane during covid and the feeling by some that the town centre is neglected. A redevelopment in the town centre might be the catalyst for improvements to Peckham. Come on Eileen stop blocking what potentially is good thing for Peckham, its people and shoppers and maybe make Peckham a destination, or do you have a better plan to improve the town centre?

Possibly best to contact the police and give a full description of the incident so that if the victim reports it they can tie your report to bit and hopefully catch the perpetrators. However a good warning for parents to thier children that this has occurred in the area and to keep their phones hidden when walking around.

Isn't a dark, moody interior the ideal cocktail bar and if that prejudiced you from going in to try the food, which is excellent buy the way, then sadly your loss. Maybe try it first before dismissing it due to the intimate atmosphere 🤔
