  1. But NewWave, don't you know that pubs, cafes and resturants are the new kindergartens where staff are only there to deal with the fallout of parents letting go of the reins! Get with the program please ๐Ÿ˜…
  2. I got in a black cab the other day and he refused to take me His excuse was he didn't go South of the Dulwich๐Ÿ˜…
  3. I sometimes feel, and it's only a feeling not based on fact or evidence, but is earl secretly Malumbu with his deflection tricks ? ๐Ÿค”
  4. Saw this online Maybe Emma Royds can up her game
  5. Mal, I'm simply pointing out that you take ever opportunity to bash cars and drivers and yet here again you display double standards when someone points out that all road users need to follow the rules. This thread was about a loading bay and it's use yet you single handedly hijacked it for for your own purposes. You winge and complain about multiple threads on the same topic but here you demonstrate beautifully that you are a one trick pony.
  6. I guess the same applies for all road users Mal, even cyclists who may pass a basic test when they are at school. Now if you had a programme of random retesting 90 percent plus would fail. Poor observations, poor signalling, poor positioning, poor anticipation, jumping red lights, cycling on the pavement, not using lights. The cloth cuts two ways ๐Ÿ˜…
  7. Bit radical Mal, why not go the whole hog and make them wear lycra suits with arrows on to show them up as thw criminals they are ?
  8. Shouldn't this survey be open for all streets so that persistant bin laden streets can be targeted ?
  9. The assumption is that crime is reported. Unless it is, it won't appear on a crime map. Whilst in an area crime possibly is rife, if its not reported there are no official stats. An additional downside is that the Met use the reported crime stats to justify resource deployment and funding for more officers. If there is low reporting then there is a low priority on the resource pool.
  10. What are you smoking in your pipe sir, and did you buy it from.a suspicious character?
  11. When Rye Lane was closed to traffic, there was a marked increase in crime and anti social behaviour (one element that remains is the graffiti all over the lane) Much of this increase wasn't reported to the police as it was considered 'pointless' by the public due to lack of police numbers and ability to respond. As a result there was only a mild uplift in Crime figures despite increases in muggings, asb, drugs and shoplifting that was observed. So a claim of more suspicious behaviour might well have justification as an issue or new trend.
  12. Agreed Billy, however a grass roots campaign organisation like one dulwich is only on your list of "fake news" because you can't identify the owner and you don't like what they say despite it being legit with a slight spin on it. Much in the same way that LCC says legit things with a spin on it! What do you want, Mr one dulwich to come out so you can attack the man or woman behind it and not their views ?
  13. The point is Billy, that people don't have to know who is behind an organisation to repost their stories, and reposting them doesn't make them fake ๐Ÿคซ
  14. I often post stories from the BBC news website, I have no idea who is in charge of the website or often who writes the articles. Does that make me fake ?
  15. It's a good job they are replacing your blue box with a bin Bob, we all know a Citroen won't fit into a blue box for recycling (unless it's a 2cv )
  16. BBC News - West Dulwich LTN: Residents make legal threat to Lambeth Council - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8vzze2y7xo Hit the BBC news website today Love the quote from Lambeth Council's deputy leader councillor Rezina Chowdhury who says "we know these things work" as she forces an LTN trial on residents who clearly don't want it. From experiences of Southwatks "trials", they get modified and made permanent despite continued objections from residents.
  17. Fascinating A pedestrian starts a thread about bad cyclists jumping a red light and the cyclists jump on it to say how bad car drivers are Malumbu, you are so often the one starting the them and us rethoric rather than accepting there are bad riad users in both categories.

  19. Southwark have decided to no longer supply or support the use of the smaller blue boxes for recycling https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/your-recycling-containers Fot those of you that currently use a blue box, it will be removed and a large blue bin will replace it. A lot of people use the blue boxes to avoid cluttering their gardens or the street so whilst I understand their health and safety reason, it's going to potentially lead to more clutter on bin day or more bins left on streets as there is no room in properties.
  20. Just came across this on Instagram, made me smile but his pount does have merits as air moves all the time do clean air can get replaced by someone else's pollution, possibly from the other side of the world ๐Ÿ˜… https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-qGR7oMEfo/?igsh=ejh4MDg0bndoMnk5
  21. Obviously you don't cross the road when cyclists ignore red lights (one heck of a lot more than the odd car) or walk down pavements when cyclists use it to get around traffic. In my experience it is the majority not the minority who break the rules I'm sure it's the same experience for a lot of pedestrians, hence why there is so much anger towards them. If you think differently then I suggest you should have gone to specsavers to remove the rose tint from your old glasses. ๐Ÿ˜…
  22. Dear Earl The issue is not a few cyclists giving the majority a bad rep, but what appears the majority giving the few good ones a bad rep by their overall behaviour The example you quote of muggings and pedestrians would be equitable only if 80% (estimate) of pedestrians were mugging people. If that was indeed the case we would be 100% cracking down on those committing anti social or illegal behaviour, same way we should be doing it for cyclists flouting or breaking the rules. After all what's good for the goose....
  23. Love the tenuous way you try to lump motorists in with covid deniers As with any two groups of people (as viewed as a Venn diagram) some will fall into each group and a small minority will fall into both. You must try harder 3/10
