  1. "I'm in a better place right now" meaning I am a lot happier these days. Used to death mainly by moronic celebs.

Thursday's: Blue Orchid (Croydon) Friday's: Fridge for a garage night (circa 1996/7) Saturday's: Satellite Club at Colloseum (Vauxhall) Sunday's: twice as Nice - Colloseum :-$:-$
  3. I went to Piaf for the first time yesterday for lunch. I had mussels and my old man had prawn linguni - I have to say that it was absolutely lovely and am quite surprised at the feedback it has received. Perhaps they had a temporary chef yesterday!! Also, the waiter and waitress were very nice, and as we were coming back from the park, they didn't seem to mind my slobbery mutt sitting with us outside! Anyway, I'll be back to see if my next meal is as nice. Just wanted to say something positive about it. toodle doo

  8. my 'mondegreen' (you learn summat new every day!) example was when I thought Prince's 'Raspberry Beret' was 'Dance, Jennifer dance'. Don't know why because hearing it now it doesn't even sound the same! Doh!
  9. I agree Jeremy - London Bridge to Can Wharf takes about 10/15 mins on tube and I much prefer working in Can Wharf than the west end. I like you, have a 6:30 start so at least it's quiet (ish) when I board the train.

Yes a Quarter pounder with cheese is full of grease and salt and the burger is probably only about 3% meat but it tastes lovely when you're hungry and wondering around the high street. You are hungry after about an hour I agree which is why I always buy two!
  14. booked my holiday to Egypt! Currently 41 degrees and I am not going until August!
  15. Thanks Sean - see you at the finish line!
  16. Anyone participating/have details of the 5k run in Dulwich Park this month? I want to do it but am unable to find any info on the net. Cheers

  18. I'm getting fed up with all the media "Is America ready for a black President?". "Is America ready for a female President?". What do they mean 'ready'?? They've had a complete moron running the country for the last seven years.
  19. Charlie - do you know this lad's parents? If so maybe try having a word. However his parent/s may prove to be difficult themselves perhaps..

Reminds me of my fella! He is an ex-boxer, loves football and is all muscle but his favourite film is Pretty Woman and sometimes accompanies me to Glamorous Nails on Grove Vale to get his nails manicured!! Best of both I suppose!!
