  4. there's a guy at work who constantly impersonates that Bulldog from the Churcill adverts. Now it's in my head and I can't stop saying "Ooohhh Yaaaeesss" everytime someone asks me a question!!
  5. This post has just reminded me. To the idiotic cyclist (if you view this forum) who thinks he is above the law when it comes to stopping at RED lights. You jumped the red light at junction of Forest Hill Rd/Wood Vale last Tuesday around 6:30pm when it was my right of way. I almost ran you over. You then proceeded to do it again further down the road and you were almost run over by a car exiting Dunstans Rd. Red lights apply to both cars and BIKES you stupid prick.
  6. Trinity, you and I obviously have EXQUISITE taste sweetie darlin wot wot wot. Unless they have painted the house pink pebble dash, put up lace nets, and installed 10 satellite dishes in the past week, then Pearcesa you have definitely seen the wrong house.

  8. on the subject of detached houses in ED, there is a stunning house on Colyton Rd that is being refurbished - think it could be number 5? Lovely house, lovely road and overlooking the Rye - the owners are very lucky!

There so many breeds out there, and as much as I love most dogs, I only really favour the big breeds, like Mastiffs, German Sheps, St Bernards etc. I couldn?t imagine owning something like a Pekingese or a Shit Zu (sorry Shih Tzu)! I do understand your point though on why you would want to get a dog that is seen as potentially an agressive breed. having said that, some of those toy dogs can be little sods at times too!
  10. Maybe the 'dog license' law should be re-instated and properly regulated.
  11. Dear all, I've attached a Word doc with some tips/advice that I extracted from various websites. Whilst I know that some of the advice listed may not be feasible to act out in time/may not have any effect, but some of the tips may prevent an attack from occuring in the first place. Would also like to add that whilst most of the breeds of dogs carrying out the majority of attacks are Staffies or Rotties, we shouldn't assume that this is the nature of all those types of dogs. As a Mastiff owner, I do get a few worried looking people when my dog walks past them in the Rye, even though the most he'll do is slobber all over you! Yes, be vigilant, but please don't stereotype.
  12. here I am Jah..(well one of the girls anyway) I was just adjusting my fig leaves accordingly but am ready for you now...

  22. Not intending to direct this at anyone in particular but wanted to get my 2p's worth! My partner's son was educated at Dulwich College and now aged 22 (today in fact) he is one of the most polite and nicest young men you'd ever meet. And yes a lot of that is down to his parents and how they brought him up. I can happily say the same for some other kids I know that go to Alleyns - and the kids in my family that go to state schools. If you can afford to educate your kid privately then that's fine - if you can't then that's fine too. As long as they have some manners and grow up to make something of themselves, where they attended school shouldn't matter. Know loads of you will probably feel the same way.
  23. I use that bus lane every day to go to the gym at the footie ground and never experienced a problem. Hope there isn't cameras - otherwise I have some serious fines to pay!
