Hmmm.... what happened to those rape allegations against him?
  2. When I see a ponytail on a man I want to get a pair of scissors and cut the fucker off.
  3. My ongoing hair loss. I had a lovely head of hair until I hit my 40s and now well into my 50s it is rapidly falling out. Grrr! Actually, that's quite rational isn't it?
  4. So if those two players go to Spurs that's seven players gone and over ?120 million back into Southampton. Where's the money going?

  6. Is his surname Head?
  7. Err....Otta, they bought Diego Costa for ?32 million just a couple of weeks ago.
  8. Looks like a backward step to me. He'll do okay but he's 36 now so why bother when you've got Lukaku?

As a teenager in '77 I hated all that crap and didn't go to any. Instead, you'd probably have found me and most of my age group speeding off our tits in the pub grumbling "bollocks to the jubilee" and playing the Sex Pistols' God Save The Queen at full volume to piss off the flag waving knobs.
  12. Andy Carroll ruled out of West Ham's pre-season tour in New Zealand with a "sore ankle." Oh, the poor dear. Does it hurty Andy? Anyone want to start a book on how many games he actually plays next season?
  13. If only he'd had the benefit of hindsight.
  14. Recently whizzed through Stief Larsson's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Before that was John Le Carre's A Most Wanted Man and just started Charles Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit. Other more recent reads have been the Patrick Hamilton trilogy A Thousand Streets Under The Sky (low life in Soho and Pimlico in the 30s), Anthony Burgess's A Dead Man In Deptford (a re-imagining of Christopher Marlowe's riotous life and suspicious death) and S J Watson's debut crime thriller Before I Go To Sleep.
  15. It's all Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour's fault. What right did the British have in giving away someone else's land?
  16. Rejoice!

  19. The Song Game thread. Pointless. Why do people bother?
  20. I make you right Quids. Rooney will suffer bruised ego syndrome as he will have to play second fiddle to Van Pussy, who will be teacher's pet. His agent will soon be on the blower to the press and Man Utd hierarchy saying his client isn't happy. Vorm is an excellent keeper and should keep Lloris on his toes for a first team spot. Happy about the Davies deal, we've been in need of a decent left-back for some time now. Hopefully, he'll continue to improve along with last season's buys (flops) who should improve after their year's experience in the Premiership. I think Soldado will come good this year and hopefully Lamela too. Having said that I think Spurs will again finish outside the top four. 5th for me but hopefully a bit of silverware.

  22. I wouldn't get too excited if I were you Maxxi because until recently he was a winger. BFT will probably put him back there so he can hoof it up to the big ponytailed ponce in the middle until he gets injured again.
