I remember Terry Venables telling a story about the how the legendary Spurs skipper Dave Mackay could volley a ball hard against a wall from 20 yards 40/50 times without letting it bounce on the ground. That's pretty amazing too.
I went in there on Sunday afternoon and was served immediately. I was shocked I can tell you (and in the small bar too). Later on I went in and bought a round of drinks in the main bar and they repeated the trick. I couldn't believe it. That's rarely happened in the 40 years I've been going in there. I'm still in shock.

By far the worst Brazilian team I've ever seen. That's not to take anything away from Germany who were magnificent. I had Germany down for a two-nil win but never expected that. It was game over after 20 minutes.
I hope it's true about The Capitol reverting back to a cinema. It's what it was built for in the first place. I used to go there when I was a kid and the one on Grove Vale too.
