  1. Obviously a man with exquisite taste. "I had a favourite club in England which was Tottenham Hotspur." - Johan Cruyff. http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag237/jahlushhead/Johan%20amp%20Glenn_zpsvmk0d042.png

  3. I'm saddened by the death of Johan Cruyff. A true footballing legend. A remarkably gifted player. As I mentioned in my Chapel of Rest post I saw him get nutmegged four times by Glenn Hoddle in the first half of a UEFA Cup tie at White Hart Lane. This was when Cruyff was 36 and Hoddle was in his pomp. Spurs absolutely destroyed Feyenoord in that first half at White Hart Lane going four-nil up with Hoddle supplying the killer passes for all four goals. Cruyff got one back in the second half with terrific goal himself. I went to both games home and away and just looked it up on You Tube and there they are so I thought I'd share this little trip down memory lane. Spurs had a terrific team back then. Though the link doesn't show the nutmegs it's a reminder of how good that team was particularly Hoddle. Enjoy the footage.

    .

    You have a point.
  5. Losing three nil at Tooting & Mitcham (aka The Scum) in the cup midweek is another dreadful low. We're looking toothless up front and lacking in imagination in midfield. WTF is going on?
  6. Ronald McDonald would be better.
  7. Excellent. Best of luck.
  8. You might get one in A J Farmer. Certainly worth a punt.
  9. Be interesting to see how you feel when you play Leicester next month.
  10. I have to agree Corbyn's be crap at the despatch box. I think Hilary Benn looks the part myself. Whether he'd be any good is another matter entirely but I think he'd make a much better fist of leadership than Jezza, who I've been a little disappointed in.
  11. Can only think of the Territorial Army Barracks at High Wood at the beginning of Lordship Lane. I'd say that perhaps security has been stepped up after the events in Brussels today.
  12. Otta, it's a nonsense that other people hadn't heard of Dele Alli as there were quite a few clubs monitoring his progress, including Man Utd and Liverpool but Spurs took the chance and wasted no time in snapping him up. Our gain, your loss. Ha ha ha ha.
  13. I agree. It was a dull match and we were lucky to scrape a draw near the end.
  14. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > FFS, it's going to be purgatory on here if Spurs > win the league...C'mon Leicester! :) I felt I've been the only Spurs fan on here for ages so I'm happy a couple have come out of the woodwork. There's more than enough Irons on here anyway. ;-)
  15. Yeah but apart from Lamela they've all gone and we broke even in the transfer market with only a couple of purchases and got rid of all the deadwood.
  16. We won't have bought the title either.
  17. Feck off!
  18. I did that at The Drum a few times. Like yourself I've never been in Le Chandelier either. Just never appealed.
  19. I'm saying nothing but I hope you're right Quids. . BBC's lowdown on Poch. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35739244
  20. Popped in this morning. I felt very angry and saddened that some scumbags would do this to them. I use the shop most days and they are indeed very nice people who work very hard and long hours to run their business.
  21. Yeah, you're right. Wickham finally started scoring and then promptly got injured. I've tipped them for quite few wins this past few months and they keep losing. This is another reason I'm lurking at the depths of the Football Predictor League.

  23. I think Palace are due a win. Having said that the number of times I've predicted a Leicester loss this season hasn't helped my Predictor scores one iota but I've gone 2-1 Palace. Probably the kiss of death for them. Spurs have by far the tougher run in and being five points behind Leicester is a very tough ask. Obviously I want Spurs to win the title but if Leicester do pull it off it will surely go down in history as one of the greatest achievements in football league history.
  24. Spurs finished fourth when Chelsea won the Champions League and meant we ended up in the Europa League instead of the Champions League so I suppose that could happen.
  25. Another Tory confidence trick. http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag237/jahlushhead/11742970_10153380988565225_1694873293698778824_n_zpsjq8dfasg.jpg
