Crikey! I've been critical of these threads in the past but even I've been woken by the planes now. Woke at 4am this morning and I haven't been able to go back to sleep because of the constant aircraft noise. They've been really loud this morning.

I like The Engineer's style. There is no doubt he is a very good manager. He's a gent, never complains about referees mistakes, or disses his players. I'm sure he'll not have a problem finding another top job. Only his age would, perhaps go against him.

You were forced to move next door to a pub? A lot pubs close their outside space at 10pm in consideration to their neighbours. I'd suggest having a quiet word with the people who run The Cherry Tree. That is definitely your best option.
