Hmmm... so apart from the gig we did just how many times did you go there in the last five years it was open? And previous to that too?

Welcome back but I really have to take umbrage with this statement. I agree many years ago it was a bit of a dump but once Jill O'Neill started managing the pub she completely turned it around and her team made the Half Moon a far more pleasant destination. And the pizzas were better than The Gowlett's.

  4. We may well be looking 'fantastic' but we're still six points behind the Arse. COYS!
  5. You think LVG has it hard. Benitez sacked at Real Madrid for slipping to third. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/rafa-benitez-sacked-real-madrid-7115351
  6. Watched it live on BT Sport Quids. Earlier on this season when Payet was fit and Diafra Sakho was up front then I agree the Hammers were a much more attractive proposition to watch than under BFS but whenever 'big poncey-haired poof' plays you have to adapt your game somewhat and hence the comparison.
  7. Didn't see much difference in the way West Ham played under BFS yesterday especially with that big poncey haired poof up front. I'm well aware that you've missed Payet and you've had to adapt your game a bit recently because of that but it didn't look anything like the flowing football you've been crying out for since Fatso left. Liverpool dominated possession yesterday but it doesn't always win you games. As for Benteke, OK he's scored a couple of winners lately but he's not much different to Mario Balotelli or the big poncey haired poof up front now at West Ham. Square peg, round hole. Liverpool need someone either to play off him or change the way they play to get the best out of him. Slightly disappointed with Spurs result today but that's only because our expectations are so high at the moment. Nevertheless still a very good away point. Wait until you see Dele Alli's goal on MOTD tonight. What a fantastic player he is. That boy has got some career ahead of him.
  8. Hic! Bollocks to that.
  9. Aaah...memories. As the years go by Brian Clough's achievements seem even more incredible and yet... they are. What he did is absolutely astounding in today's money yet alone back then. Notwithstanding the late great Dave Mackay winning the league with Derby was another massive achievement which would be almost akin to Ranieri winning it with Leicester this season but that's not gonna happen is it... or is it? That's how exciting this season is and different from the past 20. I feel a more open playing field with the nouveau riches at the so called smaller clubs. Oh dearie me, muddy pitches, small boys, jumpers for goalposts. Enduring image isn't it. I feel good things coming at my club. Really for the first time in a very long time I am really happy with the way things are being done on and off the pitch. I so hope I haven't spoken too soon. I'd really not want to get carried away having experienced so many false dawns since we last won anything of note. Anyway, good luck to everyone and happy new year to you all.
  10. As an aside I stopped smoking on November 10th. I'm not using e cigs or vaps. I've gone completely cold turkey and it seems to be working though I miss those lovely cancer sticks every single damned day.
  11. Hey! Don't shoot me. I went with the article's headline.
  12. Agree with all of that Malumbu. Crystal Palace are another example of what's so good about this season. It has really helped that the TV money is getting spread around more.

  14. This is an excellent article on Mauricio Pochettino and well worth a read whether you're a Spurs fan or not and why I believe Spurs will start winning trophies again under his leadership, possibly even the Premier League. Well, I can dream can't I? http://twentyminutereads.com/2015/12/27/the-sheriff/
  15. No two horse race this. I can see a certain Parkdrive and Red Devil sneaking up from the rear. I reckon they will catch you both too..
  16. Bought by fickle fans in a quick fit world.
  17. Don't be so defeatist. Keep going. The way this season is going six points is nothing and you more than anyone else is in with more of a chance of winning.
  18. I'm relatively new to Netflix but I recently got through Breaking Bad which wasn't a patch on say The Wire but still pretty enjoyable. I'm now really enjoying Californication.
  19. Impressive but that Ajax team was 20 years ago. Anyway, Spurs up to third, albeit probably only temporarily but nonetheless a very good result against an in-form Watford side. Very pleased with our progress.

I'm not sure how far negotiations ever got with LVG or if they ever went anywhere at all and if those rumours/press speculations were true at the time then it most certainly was a mighty big bullet we dodged there. I really could not be happier with Pochettino. He is doing a superb job with a limited budget but the way he has brought on the youngsters and homegrown talent is most impressive. That would never have happened under LVG. I think Chelsea will win today and that will be the end of LVG's tenure at Man Utd.
  21. Well, frankly I never saw the point of it as a takeaway. You have to leave that to a more traditional chippy. I liked the fact you could walk in, choose your fish, like a snapper or a sea bass or whatever and wash it all down with a half decent bottle of wine. That was for me, what made it good.
  22. Sad to see them go even though I'd not been in there for at least a couple of years. Hard to believe they'd been there 12 years. Rent increases like that seem wholly unfair.
  23. Something a bit more recent would be nice.
  24. Because I am so naturally cooler than any of you boring wannabe cocksucking tosspots could ever possibly wish to be without any effort what so ever on my part you sad pathetic scumbags. Suck on this this Xmas. Because if you ain't been good. You'll get nothing but a good whipping. Muhahahahahaha!

Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > If your team could have any player from another PL > team for the rest of the season, who would it be? > > I'd pick Ryan Shawcross. Tough one this. And it is a very good question you have posed here and one I shall enjoy answering. I've drawn admiring glances at Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey for a very long time now and on his day and when fully fit I think he is one of the best midfielders in Europe but the way our own Dele Ali has performed this season beyond most people's expectations except mine I'm not sure if we'd need him and to be fair we're pretty well covered in that department anyway but still, I wouldn't say no. Another midfielder I like or as a number ten is Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho but again I think we're covered so.. Let's face it if Harry Kane get's injured we are pretty much in the do do. With Nje out until April and who hasn't looked entirely convincing and needs time to settle in I'd go for the obvious answer which would be cover up front and that has to be Jamie Vardy yes? Wrong, not gonna happen. He should stay where he is for now and I hope he does because who knows what could happen at Leicester this season such is the season they are having so far and he most certainly wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Harry Kane. Think of those two up front together for a moment. Maybe for England, your never know. Last year he scored only five goals. Hmm... may surprise you but a player I've enjoyed watching since he was at Barcelona and been at Stoke City for the past few seasons and I think was one of Mark Hughes shrewdest buys and I really think he'd be a good fit at Spurs is Bojan. He works his socks off and plays with a smile on his face, can play all the roles up front and hopefully he's over the worst of his little problems with injuries. So, that's my answer. Bojan.
