  1. Good start to The Night Manager on Sunday night on the Beeb.
  2. Thanks RD. I'll give it a whirl.
  3. I've little problem with condensation in a couple of rooms. What's the best way to clean it away.

  5. Ha ha! Yeah, that carpet was particularly shite.
  6. It was Otta but even before then there were two rooms out back, the stage was directly opposite as you walked through and there was a pool room where the stage is now.
  7. Indeed. They could utilise the space in just the same way that the Ivy House does.

I've been going to the Half Moon for over 40 years and seen some great bands there. Hopefully, that will continue rather than it being another bland corporate restaurant/hotel with bar attached which is how the Crown & Greyhound (The Dog) will be once it finally re-opens.

I've lived in Dulwich and some surrounding areas all my life and I've always frequented the Half Moon and other places in Herne Hill too. Probably much more so than Peckham. Anyway, it's good to have the choice and The Half Moon with it's entertainment policy of music, comedy and drama has always been the main pull for me and hopefully it will stay that way.
  10. As the most outrageously gifted footballer I've ever seen, George is up there with the all-time greats. Just a shame he never graced a World Cup finals.
  11. Rooney isn't fit to polish Bobby Charlton's boots. I'm old enough remember what a fabulous player he was. The drop of the shoulder and thunder in both boots. Pure class. Total legend. Fantastic player. One of the best but not quite George, who simply was the best ever.
  12. Close. I love MoPo. But my heart belongs to Dele Alli.
  13. I can make just as good burgers at home. It's not difficult. It's dead simple.
  14. .
  15. Great result. Five wins on the trot. Still unbeaten away from home since the opening day of the season. The best defensive record in the division and the best goal difference. So proud of our boys. I love MoPo. x
  16. I called it too.
  17. Yes! Get in. Go on you Spurs!
  18. Yep! Zero points for me so far.

    So sad

Poetic justice. The fucker got his just desserts. "What's this whole world comin to Things just ain't the same Any time the hunter gets captured by the game." Smokey Robinson.
  20. Yeah, I always think the worse when I'm at White Hart Lane. I can't relax and enjoy the game as much as I do at Dulwich Hamlet. I feel far less pressure at Champion Hill. Spurs can be three-nil up with five minutes to go and I still think the other team can snatch it. And in those last five minutes I'm having a series of heart attacks and begging the referee to blow the final whistle. I think it's best for my health and my wallet if I just stay away from now on.
  21. Just need some heart failure chips to go with that.

I admit we're looking good but we've been here before and you get used to disappointment. It's the hope that kills you. Spurs probably have the toughest run in of all the reams in contention. We still have play Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd, plus three London derbies in Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham to play, let alone the teams that will be fighting for their lives to stay up. We're also still in the FA Cup and after this weekend we're back to playing Thursday - Sunday football once our Europa League games resume against Fiorentina next week. Of course I'd love it to happen. I've waited long enough and I have my fingers and toes crossed. As you may have noticed I've tipped Arsenal for the title and hopefully that'll be the kiss of death for them. But at the moment the way I see it, it is Leicester's to lose but I reckon Le Arse will just pip Spurs to it because since Arsene Wenger has been their manager the bastards always finish above us. Grrr! We live in hope though.
  23. I thought it was funny, but then I would. Come on PD lighten up. It was a good joke.
