Popped down there this arvo. It wasn't open though the sign says it's opening tonight, they've still got the builders in and it looked a bit of a mess. The signage looks even worse close up. Dead shabby. Oh, sorry shabby chic's in innit. I'll give it another whirl maybe next week, give them a chance to get fully operational.

It was Otta but even before then there were two rooms out back, the stage was directly opposite as you walked through and there was a pool room where the stage is now.

Indeed. They could utilise the space in just the same way that the Ivy House does.

I've been going to the Half Moon for over 40 years and seen some great bands there. Hopefully, that will continue rather than it being another bland corporate restaurant/hotel with bar attached which is how the Crown & Greyhound (The Dog) will be once it finally re-opens.

As the most outrageously gifted footballer I've ever seen, George is up there with the all-time greats. Just a shame he never graced a World Cup finals.

Rooney isn't fit to polish Bobby Charlton's boots. I'm old enough remember what a fabulous player he was. The drop of the shoulder and thunder in both boots. Pure class. Total legend. Fantastic player. One of the best but not quite George, who simply was the best ever.
