    Landline ....

What *Bob* said. I had a landline reinstalled three years ago after going over a decade without one. I wouldn't be without it now especially with the poor reception in my part of East Dulwich.
  2. More of this crap. http://www.buzzfeed.com/lukebailey/the-end-of-a-regime-that-acquiesces-to-disorder#.igPP6Q6J8
  3. http://www.buzzfeed.com/alexfinnis/hipsters-have-ruined-food-for-everyone?utm_term=.axmmnPnBo#.rub3nGnvW Includes such delights as crab mouse served in a fallen over flowerpot on a plank.
  4. I'm only joking. Needs a kick up the arse though.

I'd been led to believe that the Dulwich Picture House was buying it for some reason but obviously that was completely wrong. A record store selling vinyl would be pretty damned cool but I doubt they'd be able to afford the rent. NB: I still want to hunt down and shoot to kill that idiot Time Out journalist that called East Dulwich Easy D. Fecking cockwomble.
  6. He hated the new makeover so much he moved away.
  7. They need a slap for calling it Easy D. Twats.

I've always felt he was too big though. Carrying too much timber on him. But recently he looks like he's lost a bit of weight thus making him fitter, sharper and faster. He's still very young. Has a lot of talent. He can go a long way if he knuckles down he could make as big an impact as Harry Kane has these last two seasons. Maybe Palace signing The Wage Thief has made him buck his ideas up a bit.
  10. Fook me, you beat us one-nil and you celebrate like you've won the Champions League. The fixture might be the biggest game of the season for West Ham fans but it don't mean much to us. Our big one is on Saturday against the Gooners. Anyway, stuffed you 4-1 at the Lane. Good luck in the FA Cup. Away to Man Utd isn't it? Play like you did in the first last night and you could be in with a chance.
  11. When's the open top bus coming to pick you up? Spurs fine away record was always going to go at some point. It's a little disappointing but with The Scum losing as well... every cloud. Hopefully, we'll press on from this minor setback starting with that lot down the road on Saturday. Bring it on.
  12. Yeah, loved The Oglander. Don't remember it being gay though. My memory of it is of being mostly West Indian and serving up some tasty jerk chicken and playing some great reggae late into the night. A very sad loss to the community.
  13. 10/10 for Class Warefare Lou.

  15. Most stupid ideas come out of America and for some idiotic reason we seem to blindly follow suit. Looks like marmalade and that's what it should be used for.
  16. I was in the Communion Bar on Camberwell Church Road early on Saturday night. I ordered a bottled beer and was offered a fecking jam jar to drink it out of. I mean, really. A jam jar. Do I look like an idiot? Don't answer that. I asked for a the correct drinking vessel to drink it out of and got the glass I should been offered in the first place. A jam jar... so bloody wrong. Later I nipped over the road to The Hermits Cave (a proper pub) and drank lovely beer out of a straight glass. Some lovely cider too. It's good in there. Cheese is for chopping boards. Nothing else.
  17. That's good. I like Penge too. My dad was born there. I've friends and family who've moved there as well. It's definitely on the up. I may have said it before on this thread or somewhere else but the high street reminds me of Lordship Lane before the poncification.
  18. Spurs broke even in the transfer market. Leicester actually spent more than us.
  19. Yes but a very tough week ahead for Spurs. Two London derbies against West Ham and Arsenal. If we can come away with all three points in both games and Leicester drop points I'll be absolutely elated. Jimmy Greaves is a fighter. He's overcome more than a few obstacles in the past. Having had a nasty bout of hepatitis in the 60s where some observers, including himself reckoned he lost a yard of pace, "Chopper" Harris and Norman "Bites yer legs" Hunter trying to kick lumps out of him didn't seem to stop his amazing goalscoring feats though, not playing in the World Cup final and of course his well publicised battle with the bottle. He will soldier on right until the bitter end.
  20. This is so sad and sadly rather poorly written but alas this is now the life of one of the world's greatest ever goalscoring geniuses. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/jimmy-greaves-reveals-hell-never-7456368
  21. It certainly has a whiff of the Champions League about it doesn't it.
  22. This from 2008, the blogger claims to be a designer who has a studio in Croydon. Is that you then Seabag? It also includes this enlightened gem from the late great David Bowie recorded in an interview in 1999:- ?It was my nemesis, I hated Croydon with a real vengeance. It represented everything I didn't want in my life, everything I wanted to get away from. I think it's the most derogatory thing I can say about somebody or something: ?God, it's so f**king Croydon!??. http://transpont.blogspot.co.uk/2008/12/god-its-so-fking-croydon.html
  23. Fooking hell! Borussia Dortmund. Probably the toughest opponent we could have got out of the draw.
