  1. Urgh! It's not being used as a slur, between *Bob" and his gay friends, it's being used as a term of endearment amongst a coouple of friends. Jeez! Don't you get it?
  2. That Girl Belongs To Yesterday - Gene Pitney
  3. Aha, thought that might wake up a Gooner or two. I can dream can't I?
  4. Another possible debutant of course could be Robbie Fowler - or God to you Liverpool fans. I'd love it if he came on and scored the winner against the Arsenal.
  5. I think Gerrard will be playing tomorrow but it's come a bit too early for Torres. Rierra will probably make his debut on the wing too. In fact there will be quite a few interesting debuts tomorrow including Berbatov for Man Utd. What's the betting he scores on his debut? Also Robinho against Chelsea and Pavlyuchenko for Spurs against Aswton Villa. Also, can Gianfranco Zola inspire a win for West Ham against the Baggies. Should be a very interesting weekend for the Premiership and I'm looking forward to Match Of The Day on Saturday night.
  6. Once Bitten Twice Shy - Ian Hunter
  7. Exactly and it all goes back to what *Bob* said earlier in the thread. "Context is everything." Right, I'm off to have a quick fag.
  8. I haven't had enough time to read all this thread yet and perhaps I should and probably will later. I just think that to go down the road of segregation is totally wrong. As someone posted earlier it's like being in South Africa in the 60s or the deep south of America around the same time. Jeez! For the record I went to an all boys comprehensive in SW2. A whole melting pot of different cultures at that time in the early 70s, but mostly West Indian, English, (about half an half actually) then Asian, Irish, a few Greeks and Turks and a couple Maltese and Italian. It was a shithole with 2,000 kids in there that all wanted to kill each other. I walked out at 15 and told them to stick it up their arse and never went back. Maybe I'm still a little scarred by it but I had quite a lot of fun there but mostly when I was bunking off with my mates. Err...oops, sorry, maybe I'll come back and be more constructive when I've read through the thread properly.
  9. Blimey, never seen this clip before now. The Faces at the Marquee Club in 1970. Gorgeous song, great band, lovely understated soulful performance, obviously enjoying themselves and have had a few as was their want. Wonderful. Devotion - The Faces
  10. I went there (The Mirash) last Sunday night and very enjoyable it was too. In fact I'm quite a regular in there and Tandoori Nights but I have a problem with my Hampsteads at the moment and I'm having what is left of a rotten tooth out on the 17th and don't think I'll be up to eating anything much at all so I'll have to try and get to the one after. Bon appetite!
  11. Good one Cassius. I can't stand people dropping litter especially when there are bins placed at just about every 20 yards on any given main road. It's pure laziness and slobishness.
  12. I love the Velvet Undground GG but I'm not so sure about the Bowie version. Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles Edited for mistake, wrongly put the Chemical Brothers. I must be on chemicals this afternoon.
  13. He might be a scummer ratty but the boy done good. When you put on an England shirt it doesn't matter who you play for you're playing for England now and that's all that counts. What an unexected and fabulous result. Well pleased, long may the improvement continue. Watched the second half of the game in a very packed CPT. Now that the Mag now longer does the footy the place was even more packed than ever. A very good atmosphere though and the small amount of staff that were on coped very well with such a big extra demand and considering they had the pub quiz on in the other bar too, so a big thumbs up to them.(tu)
  14. Waiting For The Man - Velvet Underground
  15. I might add that another petty annoyance of mine are statistics and to that Tony I can only quote Disraeli: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."
  16. Talking of which. Glasvegas - Geraldine
  17. 6am would be much better.
  18. No it hasn't and don't call me Shirley.
  19. Liverpool 2 v 2 Man Utd Blackburn 1 v 2 Arsenal Fulham 2 v 0 Bolton Newcastle 3 v 2 Hull City Portsmouth 2 v 2 Middlesbrough West Brom 1 v 2 West Ham Wigan 1 v 2 Sunderland Man City 1 v 2 Chelsea Stoke City 0 v 1 Everton Tottenham 3 v 2 Aston Villa Croatia 2 - 2 England
  20. In the right context yes; *Bob*, just as when black people call each other niggers they have repossessed the power of the words but when there is hatred behind it and prejudice behind them then it's a different matter entirely.
  21. Yes DaveR I have read the post and stand by what I said. Thanks Sean, I was going to express something similar but you've just taken the words right out of my mouth.
  22. House Of Fun - Madness
  23. There's A Ghost In My House - R Dean Taylor
  24. (Speak for youself GG, I'm still only 17, mentally that is) Number One Song In Heaven - Sparks.

So are you saying it's not so hard to change your sexuality? Because you are totally wrong in suggesting that you can.
