A mate of mine went last year and said they still cut the mustard and of course you have to get into the spirit of things. Nudge nudge, wink wink!

Yeah! Squeeze have got a great set list Keef and MW74 but it's at Hammersmith Apollo, f**king awful place. Vowed never to go there again a long time ago.

Good call Keef, was thinking of doing something like this myself but you've beaten me to it. I first saw the Pogues supporting Elvis Costello at the old Hammersmith Palais in '82 or '83 and they completely tore the place apart. Elvis was so boring compared to them. Saw them again at one of those Xmas gigs at Brixton Academy that you're talking about in the early 90s and it was like one massive party, brilliant atmosphere and full of people in Celtic shirts. Great gig and everyone pissed as puddings. Marvellous!:))
  4. An AK47 does it for me.(tu)
  5. Err..actually we've done this one before.
  6. To be fair to Dyer, when he's fit and I know that's very rare, he's actually a very good player but to fork out ?6 million for a footballer with his history of injuries is just plain daft.
  7. So, Mockney, worth every penny that Kieron Dyer? He's the equivalent of having a Rolls Royce that's permanently in the garage. Well, maybe not a Roller, more like a second hand Vauxhall.
  8. I queried that one earlier on in the thread Asset because I was just as appalled as you probably were and to be fair it was answered satisfactorily, thank God.

About once in a blue moon I should think. Anyway, I thought we were by far the better side and at least deserved to get a point out of the game. Cracking goal by Nani though.
  11. Seriously! I don't want my pancreas exploding.
  12. In a very delicate state today. Couldn't make it down there MW74 as lots of other things happening but it sounds like you had a good time. Had a very very debauched weekend myself, periwinkled and penguin powdered. I'm feeling absolutely terrible but it was worth it. That's me off the sauce for the rest of the week.
  13. Sounds great, might just roll up there then depending on the weather.
  14. 35 quid!!! It's an outrage. I remember when cuddly Ken was in charge of the GLC you'd get regular festivals in the summer on Clapham Common or Brockwell Park and they were all free.
  15. Is this carnival free or do you have to pay to get in and how much? I take it Gaz will be in a tent.
  16. I don't know about a lynching but if one was to pop his/her head in we could point our metaphorical fingers at them and laugh like hyenas.
  17. Why is the clock going so slow today. I can't believe it's only just gone four. The next hour is going to seem like purgatory. Open the cage and let me out.
  18. Don't we all? It seems there aren't any Manure fans on this site. Maybe they're too embarrassed to admit it.
  19. A long weekend ahead..hurrah! I feel a bacchanal coming on. Roll on home time.
  20. You'll be dancing in your wellies there then?
  21. I'm afraid it's far worse than that. Put it this way, part of it involves necrophilia. I wouldn't want to mention the rest.
  22. I think that would be rather difficult MW74. It really is vile and not for repeating here.
  23. I can confirm that the great Maceo Parker is indeed playing with him. A couple of friends of mine went to see him last week or the week before and he is playing in the round at the O2. Only trouble was that they were right at the lip of the stage and Prince is so small they only really got to see him from the waist up and the bouncers were a bit heavy handed about people dancing in the aisles which I find ridiculous. How can you not want to shake your butt at a Prince concert? Anyway, he blew the roof off the sucker. If you have a spare ticket...please please please.
