    Religion.....

I think you'll find that James was inferring that he's a bit camp.
  2. Thanks Mockney, I too can't walk past a record shop without going in but it's a happy addiction.
  3. Only got the first album Captain which I really liked. Recent purchases though have been Martha Wainwright, Joan As Policewoman, Bat For Lashes, a couple of old Kraftwerk albums, a King Tubby boxset and Alternatively Deep by Roots Manuva. And they're all excellent.
  4. Yeah, it's good Captain. But if you love the Stones like I do then I can also recommend the following: True Adventures of the Rolling Stones by Stanley Booth and Stones Touring Party by Robert Frank about the `72 tour.
  5. Hey BB, I'm probably going to go for the first time myself, and I'll be a little nervous too but why worry. Come on what's there to be afraid of? Actually now I come to think of it.....
  6. I was digestive man myself until Hobnobs came on the market and now I'm hooked. Can't have anything else in the house. Plain ones for dunking in your tea and chocolate ones for that extra pleasure..hmmm..yum yum.:))
  7. I love kids too but I couldn't eat a whole one.
  8. Have you seen the new thread about the Forest Hill Tavern? They've got a live music licence. Whoopeedoo! About bloody time we had somewhere to go and see live bands. Apart from the Half Moon in Herne Hill there's been bugger all around here for years. So local musicians, get gigging.
  9. Good luck Chantoozie, about time we had some live music in the area, may pop in sometime soon.
  10. Re: the refit. Forget it, just checked with your previous post.
  11. Hurrah! Live music at a local boozer. About bloody time! What's the refit like by the way? It's probably 25 years since I last walked through the portals of the FHT as it really hasn't appealed in the past.
  12. Err... excuse me, what bad press. I've seen nothing in today's papers to persuade me otherwise. I've always thought Liverpool fans on the whole to be absolutely magnificent. Did you see them on the terraces last night? What a marvellous sight to see. A sea of flags, scarves and banners, singing their hearts out to spur their team on. What more could you possibly want from your supporters?
  13. I enjoyed reading that BR. I used to say to anybody who was a stranger to our city: "If you want the best view of London, front seat, top deck, double decker bus."
  14. Nah! I read Chronicles last year and thought it was really interesting reading it through Dylan's eyes.
  15. Many commiserations to the Liverpool fans on this thread. If it's any consolation I thought you played better than 2005. Still, sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles. Also, if I'd paid good money for tickets for the game, flights and accommodation etc, etc I be absolutely furious if I couldn't get into the ground to see the match. Anyway, do what I do when the Spurs lose, delete it from the memory banks. Better luck next time.
  16. I'm amazed you got as far as that.
  17. Ah! the dreaded passport photo. You should see mine. I look like Carlos The Jackal.
  18. I really don't see the point of another damned coffee shop and I don't care how bloody trendy it is. Trends are transient anyway. I've absolutely zero desire to sit in some craphole teaming with mums, babies and pushchairs. If I want a coffee I put the bloody kettle on and make it myself.

    Religion.....

From Blake's Law Dictionary - Mania Fanatica: "a form of insanity characterised by a morbid state of religious feeling". Need I say more?

Hmmm... in that case, I worship at the Presleytarian Church of Elvis The Divine.

    Religion.....

There is no God, only religion.
  22. Yeah, wouldn't surprise me Mockney. I'm a Spurs fan but you've gotta support the Pool tonight haven't you. Come on you Reds. Might get down to the CPT myself tonight, but word of warning I do get very loud when I watch the footy so it might be best if I stay at home.
  23. Excellent idea. The Gipsy Hill Tavern, yeah, I know it's not ED but they do a open mic thing there most Sundays.
  24. Be bout ya Tillie but me a gwan to dinner at J Sheekys in Soho tomorrow night, but me mus a check it later. Glad you liked the King Tubby. Oh! and Fractionater me been drinking the Red Stripes since me were a lickle yout bwoy and you were still in a ya pram. Cha!
