It's also very good news for the plethora of local beer making businesses. I.e Late Knights, Gipsy Hill and Brockley Brewery, etc etc.
  3. Well, at Spurs we only have three strikers and none of them can score in the Premiership.
  4. You reckon?

This is great news for beer enthusiasts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30105445
  6. Hardly saw him. He's never done it in an England shirt and probably never will.
  7. Having had the pleasure of DJ-ing with Sly & Reggie a few times in the past I'm rather upset by this. Condolences to all his loved ones. He was a really nice bloke. RIP.
  8. Cracking game. Thought Clyne was excellent at right back. Very solid in his first two games for England and Lallana when he came on for the otherwise ineffective Downing was another great performer on the night. A very good England performance. Well pleased.
  9. I believe they're owned by the same people who have the fabulous Turkish shop on Forest Hill Road.
  10. I'm looking forward to it too. Always a bit tasty this fixture. I was at Wembley during Euro '96 when Gazza scored that amazing goal. Incredible atmosphere. Never witnessed anything like it before or since.
  11. The Flying Pig won't last long at those prices.
  12. Thanks OutOfFocus. Blimey, Tulse Hill must be on the up.

  14. Or Fear & Boozing even?
  15. Tomato sauce, pepperoni, red pepper and olives. Oh, hang on that's a pizza.
  16. Looking forward to the 13 pinter P13 route. You might not have total recall once you get into double figures.
  17. Ahem! I'll stick my ore in here. He got the publicity because:- A: He's England's captain. B: It was his 100th cap. C: By scoring he equalled Jimmy Greaves goal record of 44 goals for his country (though it took him nearly twice as many games to do so). That's news worthy.
  18. Queuing for pizza! The world's gone mad. I do like pizza, though I don't eat it that often, so I'm damned if I'd ever queue for it. Same goes for William Rose Butchers on a Saturday. Why do people do it? I'll probably pop in during the week and give it a whirl when they're quieter, when most people are at work.
  19. 'Cliques' - is that the new buzzword for 'families' around here?
  20. Not being skint.

It's a short walk away from where you live and serves fine ales with their delicious reasonably priced pizzas. Anyway farewell Draft House, hello Franco Manca.

  23. Which is odd, coz it's in Nunhead. And The Dog's been shut since the end of September.
