  1. Seeing James? posts on Twitter it?s pretty obviously that he is still blindly insisting that ltns are great - lots of links about how closing roads reduces traffic - he is paying lip service to those of us who live or have businesses here regarding our genuine concerns - we are irrelevant
  2. Why on Earth are you not using the pedestrian crossings??? Where are you trying to get to?
  3. How bloody awful - whereabouts are you biased?
  4. There were reports on Twitter of groups of cyclists repeatedly cycling over the monitor strips (they were doubling back on themselves several times)
  5. It wasn?t that long ago buses actually went down Melbourne grove...
  6. Saw the teeniest tiniest bird on the path next to the bowling green in peckham - def not a wren or long tailed tit. Most of the teeny birds are quite round but this was like a tiny scaled down version - it had a bit of yellow and other non sparrow colours - and idea? Made the mistake of googling small tits..... not helpful...
  7. Please take the new LTNs into account which are causing dreadful congestion on the main roads in this area - add on a good 45 mins to an hour to your expected journey
  8. Why is it ?mom? not ?mum? please?
  9. Yes Same here - however you can book it yourself by going on www.nhs.UK - we booked both vaccines yesterday! Good luck
  10. As I have been told - the local traders do not support these road closures as it has had a further negative impact on their businesses
  11. Be great if you could do an article about how the majority of residents wnd business? in east dulwich are being negatively impacted by the new LTNs imposed by the council to supposedly benefit a very few very rich residents
  12. Glimpsed a new red sign at the top of the road. Wasn?t in a position to stop the car at the main interchange to read it - anyone know what it says/means. Glimpsed no entry - so this means the park becomes available only to those who live near to it? It just gets better snd better doesn?t it.
  13. James Sorry but the LTNs are causing the idling traffic, congestion snd increased levels of pollution. I find it staggering in that you are all towing the party line and are refusing to acknowledge the problems. It?s like dealing with ?computer says no? except it?s not at all funny - local residents and business owners are being mucked about with - these endless ?twiddles? that make it worse and worse. It?s just exasperating. Only a few weeks ago you were expressing condolences to the family of a girl who died due to pollution- managing to ignore the fact her mother was expressing deep concerns that these ltn?s are making it severely worse for people living or using these now congested roads
  14. Pretty sure lots of pubs and retail using this opportunity for a refurb
  15. Perhaps we should also consult with the many educational staff whose journeys to work have been incredibly convoluted. A teacher commuting from Paxton green area to dkh has been impacted enormously, and there are clear indicators the Crystal Palace staff have their 10/15 min journeys become a 50 min one. Staff moving between schools are similarly impacted. They are often carrying books and other materials not easily packed into a single carrier bag let alone being able to use public transport for their particular journeys. Can we not just assume it is lack of a will or laziness that people are very concerned about the impact of these Ltns (and of course the rise in dangerous pollution on the other roads)
  16. I don?t think I would ever describe the staff at the lordship lane coop as lovely!! Usually amusingly grumpy and sometimes rude. Staff at forest hill road branch ARE a lovely lot!
  17. Oh I hope not - walking off lead is quite important excercise - not excusing people who are not appreciative of the ?shared spAce? nature of parks. Have to admit the parks are bonkers busy at the moment
  18. Not sure if already done but it could be worth contacting the large companies in the city (banks/financial institutions) and see if they have old devices paying about? They could wipe and pass on?
  19. They have probably all been tested
  20. Discussing this thread with a client who lived in this area many years ago - apparently in the winter of discontent (1973/4?) goose green was totally covered in black bin bags as the refuse collectors were on strike - anyone know of this?
  21. What in the children?s playground??? Ffs what are people like. I am a dog owner and that totally cheeses me off. There is enough dog allowed areas - and there are the dog on lead/ not allowed areas that must be respected.
  22. There?s no social distancing in sainsbos
