  1. I think the best way to evaluate the current situation would be to ask the bus drivers if they have noticed any significant changes (or not)
  2. A friend has been repeatedly trying to buy a permit online. AFter many unsuccessful attempts they phoned the council to be told that the system does not work with apple products (iphones or computers). Amazing how they would be using software that rules out a large portion of applications.
  3. Trying to get to west dulwich station today at 5.45 lordship lane was backed from the harvester to the library. Unable to turn onto lordship lane we headed back down to townley road. This was backed up to The playing fields of Alleyne. The lights seemed strangely quick. Had to loop round to avoid the Herne hill chaos - he missed the train....
  4. So if an emergency vehicle has to get into Elsie road (say an ambulance from kings) they have to loop all the way round up east dulwich grove. Thru probably stationary traffic
  5. Lordship lane near library stationary, town let queuing all the way down This is a disaster
  6. hi there - do they look anything like these? kind regards
  7. maybe because the pollution on all the other roads are going thru the roof? Feel sorry for the people who live on the main road in dulwich village and the knock on effect on the primary schools
  8. Taken to the cafe
  9. So is this the same Johnnies that someone was praising for looking out for an elderly relative during lockdown? taking food free of charge round to make sure someone vulnerable was safe? Is it not possible that a member of staff got something wrong - not being aware of the EOHO scheme or just made mistake Is it also not possible that they have pulled out of the scheme (as many establishments have) due to abuse by and of customers. Can we please not be so flipping quick to see wrong!!! this is a local business, who like other hospitality establishments have had a very hard time. Do not assume that they have had the grants that many have had - and the reason they are putting their prices up is possibly as they are now having to clear all the bills they were not able to pay during lockdown which are now being loaded now. Please support our local indenpendant businesses and not be so quick to assume wrongdoing - inlike those big chains who are happy to milk the system (it begins with W if you need a hint..)
  10. Been getting the scam bt calls for the last few weeks - have a bit of fun with them before they finally hang up.
  11. so sorry - no doubt they cloned the keys from inside. cannot believe they did it in broad daylight - any neighbours with CCTV or ring doorbells?
  12. I believe they were found
  13. There has been what sounds like a larger type of dog barking for a couple of hours now - in the stretch near the church. Anyone else bothered by it? It?s driving me bonkers
  14. brilliant news - was the owner local or was she from hampshire?
  15. I think its marvellous that they are creating a nice space for youngsters to do something fun - but also to encourage the little un's who are really going to love this positivity good luck all involved
  16. Been wobbly the last 2 days - but seems ok now
  17. I have been stuck in the dulwich jam with no sign of drop off or deliveries causing the snarl up. It is the queue of cars waiting to turn right at the junction. I love the way that people who live on the area are not supposed to get taxis or ubers any more...
  18. lets hope the petition has an effect. seems a shame if a nice project like this gets lost
  19. thanks everyone one
  20. Just wondering what people do with their shredded paper? I don't want to put loose in the recycling bins as there is a good chance is will blow everwhere when the bins are emptied, however putting it into black bags probably is not ok as these muck up the recycling process any ideas very welcome there is too much to put on the compost heap!
  21. Where are you?
  22. There is a message on fb saying he is safe - I do hope this is correct
  23. I was categorically told by southwark council AND the police that there is no CCTV in east dulwich - the cameras you may see are TFL ones for the monitoring of traffic flow but these are not recorded in that they can be accessed after an event. I was tryng to track a stolen car and was unable to find ANY cameras recording. apparently there are routes thru london that are not tracked so are known as preferred routes for a clean getaway.
  24. oh thats a shame - wonder why they did that?
