  1. The congestion is basically caused but a lot of traffic having to do two sides of a triangle rather than straight up the obvious route. Also the lights have not been adjusted - for example at the dulwich village / east dulwich grove junction only 2-3 cars can turn right - and a lot of the jam in the village is cars wanting to turn right. If a filter were introduced that could smooth things?
  2. Glad to see there has been a rejig of the barricades to allow larger vehicle access
  3. I was assured by a councillor that the emergency services were the first people to be consulted. perhaps some wires have got crossed ? (I am being very diplomatic here)
  4. This was exactly my thoughts serena! I have been informed by a councillor that the emergency services were the first to be consulted and they had no issues with the proposals - perhaps they thought they would still have access? Who knows but this has been me ?beef? since sitting in a stationary south circular when 3 emergency vehicles were trying to get thru. Everyone pulled up on the pavements
  5. It?s not that cut and dried I think.
  6. Oh god.....
  7. Signed. Thanks for the list of emails
  8. Yes I Agree - I used to hate going to Wandsworth as the traffic was so bad. Round here we could easily move about. I am keen to know whether the emergency services were consulted. Imagine the journey an ambulance from kings now has to make to get to say Elsie road, or near callows on melbourne Grove. A massive loop in possibly stationary traffic. I wonder how long they are going to let this chaos ensue before some sort of review.
  9. I think the best way to evaluate the current situation would be to ask the bus drivers if they have noticed any significant changes (or not)
  10. A friend has been repeatedly trying to buy a permit online. AFter many unsuccessful attempts they phoned the council to be told that the system does not work with apple products (iphones or computers). Amazing how they would be using software that rules out a large portion of applications.
  11. Trying to get to west dulwich station today at 5.45 lordship lane was backed from the harvester to the library. Unable to turn onto lordship lane we headed back down to townley road. This was backed up to The playing fields of Alleyne. The lights seemed strangely quick. Had to loop round to avoid the Herne hill chaos - he missed the train....
  12. So if an emergency vehicle has to get into Elsie road (say an ambulance from kings) they have to loop all the way round up east dulwich grove. Thru probably stationary traffic
  13. Lordship lane near library stationary, town let queuing all the way down This is a disaster
  14. hi there - do they look anything like these? kind regards
  15. maybe because the pollution on all the other roads are going thru the roof? Feel sorry for the people who live on the main road in dulwich village and the knock on effect on the primary schools
  16. Taken to the cafe
  17. So is this the same Johnnies that someone was praising for looking out for an elderly relative during lockdown? taking food free of charge round to make sure someone vulnerable was safe? Is it not possible that a member of staff got something wrong - not being aware of the EOHO scheme or just made mistake Is it also not possible that they have pulled out of the scheme (as many establishments have) due to abuse by and of customers. Can we please not be so flipping quick to see wrong!!! this is a local business, who like other hospitality establishments have had a very hard time. Do not assume that they have had the grants that many have had - and the reason they are putting their prices up is possibly as they are now having to clear all the bills they were not able to pay during lockdown which are now being loaded now. Please support our local indenpendant businesses and not be so quick to assume wrongdoing - inlike those big chains who are happy to milk the system (it begins with W if you need a hint..)
  18. Been getting the scam bt calls for the last few weeks - have a bit of fun with them before they finally hang up.
  19. so sorry - no doubt they cloned the keys from inside. cannot believe they did it in broad daylight - any neighbours with CCTV or ring doorbells?
  20. I believe they were found
