  1. Perhaps we should also consult with the many educational staff whose journeys to work have been incredibly convoluted. A teacher commuting from Paxton green area to dkh has been impacted enormously, and there are clear indicators the Crystal Palace staff have their 10/15 min journeys become a 50 min one. Staff moving between schools are similarly impacted. They are often carrying books and other materials not easily packed into a single carrier bag let alone being able to use public transport for their particular journeys. Can we not just assume it is lack of a will or laziness that people are very concerned about the impact of these Ltns (and of course the rise in dangerous pollution on the other roads)
  2. I don?t think I would ever describe the staff at the lordship lane coop as lovely!! Usually amusingly grumpy and sometimes rude. Staff at forest hill road branch ARE a lovely lot!
  3. Oh I hope not - walking off lead is quite important excercise - not excusing people who are not appreciative of the ?shared spAce? nature of parks. Have to admit the parks are bonkers busy at the moment
  4. Not sure if already done but it could be worth contacting the large companies in the city (banks/financial institutions) and see if they have old devices paying about? They could wipe and pass on?
  5. They have probably all been tested
  6. Discussing this thread with a client who lived in this area many years ago - apparently in the winter of discontent (1973/4?) goose green was totally covered in black bin bags as the refuse collectors were on strike - anyone know of this?
  7. What in the children?s playground??? Ffs what are people like. I am a dog owner and that totally cheeses me off. There is enough dog allowed areas - and there are the dog on lead/ not allowed areas that must be respected.
  8. There?s no social distancing in sainsbos
  9. Nope just read it - spot on
  10. Had two Royal Mail delivery today - 10 Xmas cards and 2 small packages
  11. And DF sums it up - he?s not bothered because he doesn?t want to go anywhere. Most of us do and all our youngsters have been stuffed by that attitude- I suspect he doesn?t know what opportunities have been stifled for them and how utterly bewildered my kids are by the whole process. As am I.. well actually I totally understand that the mail et al were lying whole heartedly to the nation as it made a good story but the whole thing got out of hand and look where we are..
  12. Unbelievably worried by Brexit and the impact on the uk. Loss of jobs and opportunities generally - esp for all our youngsters. I desperately hope that we can pull thru but just looking at the facts of what we are left with do not bode well. Just a flipping holiday is going to be more bureaucratic and expensive. The loss of the Erasmus scheme despite being promised it would be unaffected. The massive swathe of lies told by the proponents of Brexit generally - that?s why I?m worried
  13. I?d seen that too! Glad to hear not the case.
  14. They tried that a few years ago didn?t thru - taking the upper floor which was and I assume still is used by esph ?
  15. Late morning today Lordy lane approach to the harvester - it?s a mess. Also yesterday Crystal Palace was gridlocked - admittedly it was rush hour (5.30 pm) but it was completely stationary and we had to close all the vents as the pollution was awful. I have no idea what the cause was but it was pretty grim. Then we had the south circular queue down lordship lane in the other direction. I do hope the council are monitoring all this as I would be extremely concerned if I had to live on these congested roads. As we are all so partisan in our experiences it would be extremely useful to have proper recorded feedback from bus drivers who are familiar with the local routes and cab drivers and the black cab drivers.
  16. Yes had very little post in friern rd - birthday cards posted over a week ago still not arrived. Non Royal Mail parcels arriving as normal.
  17. I?m afraid that living in London, endless house renovations are inevitable. I don?t think It is reasonable to expect this to cease during lockdown - a lot of the people undertaking the build need their jobs. As long as they work within the designated hours Then they are within their rights. If you have a good relationship with your neighbours you could perhaps come to an agreement if it is particularly loud and you are on a zoom for example. We had our neighbours undertake a whole house refurb but they had very good, considerate builders say it was actually fine! It may well be no where as bad as you fear - best of luck
  18. I assumed this thread was about fox when I read the title!!! God I bet billy piper is wondering if he was this daft when they were an item! 😂
  19. Hope the businesses on Melbourne grove are included and listened to.
  20. Alleyn park garden centre - taking orders and will deliver
  21. Omg !! What lies
  22. Item returned
  23. .so this means the business?s are once again penalised?
