  1. I find the finger pointing at one dulwich rather strange. Just because they are clear in their opposition to these new measures doesn't make them automatically responsible - and lets face it, the people involved are really unlikely to be resorting to this sort of tactic. Their radical tactics are along the lines of 'expensively produced' flyers. :)
  2. I have walked up there a couple of evenings (with the dog) and both times it all seemed very quiet and chilled. This was at dusk - does it all kick off later? just a lovely place to sit and look at the view.
  3. Yes I had that too when cycling thru the junction - was given the green cycle light which clashed with the pedestrian green man
  4. Where shouts on upland- it?s a very long road!
  5. I think that mAy be because the snarled up traffic is then turning left to go into east dulwich as this is the route that has been blocked
  6. With regard to cctv you are not allowed to film the pavement - for example Lloyd?s bank are not allowed to film the comings and goings outside the bank - data protection or something. It?s very frustrating that people committing these blatant crimes know there is no footage - ( tfl operate the camera lens for traffic which have no problem in recording minor traffic infringements) It really is infuriating that so many people are having their bikes stolen.
  7. Put on top of Piermont green sign near the Herne Yes
  8. Thought you could not have cockerels in cities - chickens are fine but not cockerels as they are too noisy?
  9. Anyone local not been seen for a bit...
  10. This is getting more bonkers. I?m actually looking forward to the schools going back and looking at Southwark justifying the whole cock up
  11. yes fraid so RahRahRah - otherwise one has to go down to Lordship lane, turn left, go round roundabout and then head back up lordship lane. A massive loop instead of a straight forward journey.
  12. I am particularly concerned by the reduction of public transport access to Rye Lane and the key railway station. The gridlock caused by the road closures are a very serious cause for concern. Also not help by children using the new car free area as a playground - there are still bikes using this as a highway so only a matter of time before there is some sort of collision.
  13. have you been on the roads lately Rahrahrah - if the traffic was moving it would be no problem but the traffic is now stationary.
  14. 2pm south circular queuing from harvester lights back to ryecoates mead. 12 min wait at harvester lights to turn right into south circular - the turn right filter is so quick lots of red light jumping Edited to add 3.30 and dulwich village from turney to easy dulwich grove stationary. I have not previously been here at that time so not sure if this is unusual. Nearly all the cars are turning right so a filter now needed.
  15. Just driven from gallery road to top of friern. Exiting gallery road at 5.20 traffics heading towards the old harvester was backed up beyond that junction. Crawled along south circular - one police van and two ambulances managed to get thru the almost stationary traffic (cars pulling up onto the pavements etc. Got to top of friern toad at 5.43 . Traffic heading towards the harvester from the library also queuing
  16. Yes close lordship lane and further damage the businesses who have already had a tough time.
  17. What an astonishing remark - if you don?t like it move? Are you assuming that the many people who work around here should move closer to work? (Have you checked out teachers salaries and how much property is) most people have to travel in some way as they don?t have the luxury of living nearby. Which brings me onto my next rant - commuters travelling from peckham rye to work now have an added obstacle in that they cannot get a bus to the station? This is nuts. All those people travelling to a ?value for money? shopping centre who normally use the bus now have a massive hike up the lane? Lots of mums with buggies and a lot of older folk with their shopping trolleys. I really would love to be a fly on the wall during one of these?what can we bugger up now? meetings
  18. Oh how awful. Maybe carry the kittens in a carrier round the streets as someone suggested?
  19. thanks ED light and Lpool - I was wondering if anyone was using them and they were ok. may have to investigate (I am such a techno dunce I am terrified of making a dreadful mistake!)
  20. But it?s not a 5 min diversion
  21. so can you get the bus up rye lane to the station then?
