  1. No excuse for this behaviour. Have to say the Staff in my local Somerfields are excellent and welcoming though.
  2. You certainly seem to be experiencing life in all its rich tapestry Poppy!
  3. Declan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > As TLS started this I think his input is required > for starters! Fair Enough! My first "Defining Moment" was with a work colleague, Lynda, who I visited in my virginal state. The intention and circumstances were supposed to be innocent , but as she, unexpectedly, caressed me,she made my male appendage and my heart swell, and both continued to grow as I debated what to do. That evening is frozen in my minds eye and I discovered the way forward after that.....up to that point "Subbuteo" had been my passion. My Subbuteo Board that Dad, lovingly, made me, was cast aside forever....
  4. I'd want more than 46 Large to visit Salford, let alone live there:-$ Too much "White-On-White" Crime, pour moi, Je suis afraid.....
  5. Peter Mandelson informed us that Gordon Brown works tirelessly for this Country, night and day, and is a veritable "Trojan" so who are we to argue?
  6. If you stick your virtual tongue out at me once more..well I just don't know what I'll do Madam!:-S
  7. The efforts of RosieH dserve the utmost respect and merit but I must say Huguenot makes many valid posts most cogently, as well. Can't agree with this though: "They're not a gender issue, Women are just as prone to bullying as men". In my long experience Women can be bullies and "psychologically" are more prevalent bullies but in any "physical" sense the proportion is significantly different with Males being, easily, the greatest culprits.
  8. KK: Admit it! Early starts, Westminster..you are either Jacqui Smith or Harriet Harperson (your absence in their recent respective threads WAS "noted") or Ruth Kelly or Bridget Prentiss or Tessa Jowell ain't yer?
  9. Sadly for me, she who must be obeyed has ordered me off my Computer now otherwise I don't get my sweeties later so I'll see ya laterB)

Don't mean we can't make it but its harder yougetme, innit? !

Yeah! but you're one of those smarty pants inter-lec-tools though ain't yer Kel so most would intellectually pale into significance alongside you;-) p.s. Wot U doing 'bout my bleedin' drains Babe?:X:))
  12. In general an education at a Public School will give you a much better chance of academic qualifications. This,in turn, can only assist the opportunities and passage into a career. Its "perceived" by most Employers that an individual will have greatly benefitted from a Public School education, thus they will, "in general", view more favourably an application from a former Public School pupil, if all other things are, roughly, equal.
  13. In her excellent analysis on that other thread RosieH posted this: "Some women choose a career over children. Some women choose children over a career. Some women choose to have both. And it's our right to choose"....so assuming she is right (it makes sense to me) then you and your Young Lady will have to decide the percentage call on which way she will choose. As far as I know, the Boy will have little "comparitve" choice, the keyword imo being "comparitive"...its extremely rare for a Boy to choose anything other than a Career. This may influence your decision.
  14. A Decision, person, situation, crcumstance...?
  15. Mon Dieu! This is truly sacrilegious::o We are still in the intial "Honeymoon Period" so no criticism is allowed. ....build 'em up and....

Brilliant stuff > TL Oh you pretty things (oh you pretty things) Dont you know youre driving your Mamas and papas insane Let me make it plain You gotta make way for the homo superior 1968 Killyon Road listening to Space Oddity, remember it, as if it was 15 years ago...where's the last 40 years gone, and why so quickly?

  18. I will say one thing though, after working in many, varied environments and Establishments since 1971. If you can find a Woman Boss (outside the areas of PR/Advertising) with a good sense of humour then you are a better Man than me, Gungedin..I never came across one in 38 years, thus far...
  19. Mike: I'm not a violent Man but I WOULD be prepared to make a solitary exception in the case of Kenny. I spent too many hours in the old Greater London Council, when he was Top Banana and saw his propaganda everywhere in the Building...
  20. What did Billy Shakespeare say about being "Hoist By Your Own Petard!":)-D

Huguenot: "Tony old chap, if you make assumptions about someone because of their race, that's racist. If you want to know if a guys is homophobic or not, you have to ask him. You can't hang him for the crime because of the colour of his skin".... Huguenot you wrote that to me only the other day, so allow me to paraphrase this, in light of your comments above... TLS: "Huguenot old chap, if you make assumptions about someone because of their gender, that's sexist. If you want to know if a Lady is (vindictive/invidious/humilating), you have to discover that. You can't hang her for the crime because of the gender that she happens to be".....
  22. Extend the question to any recent past or present Politician and I would like to see the beheading of Kenneth Livingstone, the weasly one....preferably in a Public Ceremony in an empty Bus Lane of his choice, while being witnessed by a multitude of stationery car users in the other lane, who cannot go anywhere, anyway.. In fact the beheading will be unnecessary as he could just be left there and die more slowly by inhaling all those lovely fumes that the cars are belching out while immobile. Give a whole new meaning to going green...
  23. Went to see U2 at Wembley around 20 years ag. To be fair some Music broke out in between his political messages....
  24. The tide has turned since BBW said "King cnut"..
  25. I was on the Southwark Waiting List from 1973 until I bought my own place in 1983...better check as I might still be on the list...kept getting pushed further and further down the list....:-S....why couldn't I have been born in Borneo or Andorra or Liechenstein..I've have been housed within around 7 minutes/weeks/months by Southwark....still maybe in the next lifetime..(tu)
