Looch: Criticise my other half, take my mistress, pi*s on my chips, but I BESEECH you do NOT say a bad word against a Man with the widest, most fertile and vivid imagination humanly possible, a Man with the brain power that I, as a mere mortal, could not begin to comprehend....;-)
  10. mockney piers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > wasn't tolkein a safa? John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was born on 3 January 1892, in Bloemfontein in the Orange Free State (now Free State Province, part of South Africa) to Arthur Reuel Tolkien (1857?1896), an English bank manager, and his wife Mabel, n?e Suffield (1870?1904). The couple had left England when Arthur was promoted to head the Bloemfontein office of the British bank he worked for. When he was three, Tolkien went to England with his mother and brother on what was intended to be a lengthy family visit.........the rest is history(tu)

I really must protest! My pet poochies should have right of way, and should be able to run unfettered in the park. I also feel that small children should be adequately supervised by their parents. 14. Not that I'm implying anything, naturellement, but, usally, when someone starts a "Wind-Up" thread they disappear afterwards and do not re-appear on that same thread at any point. By the way has anyone seen Poppy?
  15. ThinLizzy Wrote: To which I used an oxymoron.... "Yes, we are aren't we!" Boy he had AT-TI-TUDE! Sounds like there was only one "moron" in your story TL and it wasn't you!
  16. georgia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What does, TLS?? Basically, Georgia, some of us "smell a rat" in this story. Its probably the same "Rat" that appearred in Poppycock's Supermarket "Tale" or should that be "Tail"?:) Its certainly the same omni-present Shopping Trolley, that seems to accompany her on all her travels, even on a Double-Decker Bus, furnished with a Bus Conducter.... The aforementioned "Conducter" must be quick as he collects the fares AND drives the Bus...must be a Lightning Conducter>:D<
  17. Strawbs Wrote: I organise a big lesbo night once a month there ...... The Rye can be quite convenient so can anyone attend these Lesbo gatherings and, if so, do you have to, well you know, and when is the next one please?
  18. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- Did you feel the urge to chase after her with a bunch of flowers Tony?.. As she was surrounded by 6 Guys, all Bees to the Honeypot, I let her come to me, which she had to in order to conduct some Business. I told her that I would return the ?1, at which point she thumped me (fairly gently) and said "Yeah! Right!" as her fragrant self returned to her admiring "worker bees"....she was their "Queen" for the evening and seemed to enjoy the attention from them:))
  19. If you can afford to, kindly support your local specialist Traders, they enhance the character of any area to a great extent. Love the bargains in Iceland though....

  21. When In Rome BBW. You are not in a pleasant, air-conditioned Office where people will, usually, talk rationally and reasonablyabout such matters. In this instance, I would suggest, trying to, discreetly, find out who the culprit is and ensuring someone has a word in his shell-like. If this doesn't work make sure he gets a slap, that shoud quieten the bully down.
  22. Apparently so....:)
  23. poppylucky: I thought I was unlucky! Having just read this post by you on the Sainsburys thread: "I had the shock and fright of my life when i went to visit sainsburys last night, i took my trolley from outside and a huge rat lurched towards me, i screamed and fled for my life ...." and now, in addition, having to endure this most traumatic of experiences, it beggars the question... Do you really think that you (and your faithful shopping trolley) are right for this neck off the woods(?)
