  1. Does anyone have information on their "internal restructuring"?
  2. Foxtons' financial situation deteriorated sharply today. It would be a good idea for anyone in a contractual relationship with Foxtons to review their position.
  3. If Foxtons charge more than 2% commission, then it is because they are the best.
  4. I'm not very good with numbers. Does this mean the young lady from Foxtons has to close ?1.8m of house sales per week to keep her job?
  5. Congratulations, ????. What was lost now is found. In thanks you can make a substantial contribution to this worthwhile cause.

    Is it over?
  7. Cynics, all of you. It's the Foxtons envy syndrome in you exposing itself. You could have got a job with Foxtons 18 months ago and now be Foxtons' East Dulwich Senior Lettings Valuer. But you didn't.
  8. You must have misunderstood, ????.
  9. > satanically doom-laden sound overhead That was the V1s. You couldn't hear the V2s. I'd welcome hearing a Merlin a few more times over East Dulwich.
  10. > The Magdala has been taken over by the woman who owns Grace and Favour Since no-one else has asked: Why?
  11. > hanna,s Best garlic mushrooms ever.
  12. Well, maybe. How big is the pit?
  13. > Couldnt you run a club night for the Deaf? That is an ignorant comment by someone who has not seen deaf people dancing.
  14. Mine was a general question about the equilibrium number for estate agents in post-property boom East Dulwich. It was not an attack on estate agents. I'm also interested in the impact on East Dulwich of void shops (downside) and falling cost of retail rents/lease (upside).
  15. Today I was thinking about when food rationing ended in 1954 and wondering whether the days will return when we have to register with an East Dulwich grocer to obtain food. I had a look at the logistics for our East Dulwich food supply chain and I didn't like what I found. JiT is very dangerous. How many days food supply do you have in your larder for your family?
  16. If Halifax Estate Agents on Lordship Lane were to close, would this provide sufficient respite to the others?
  17. Some of the security guards in Lordship Lane scare me. I do wonder if they have received adequate training and whether trainees that are unsuitable are weeded out. I'm not sure whether the security guards in Somerfield are Somerfield employees or whether Somerfield contracts out this work. Does anyone know? If they are contracted out does any Somerfield employee have line management responsibilty for, and/or authority over, the security guards when they are on duty in the store?
  18. What are the candidates manifesto pledges for pensioners?
  19. I see. I guess being next to the East Dulwich Tavern it must be a large sewer.
  20. Is this the promoter that is causing the noise problem? There's time for pre-emptive action.
  21. Fund East Dulwich Community Centre through 2009/10.
  22. The Southwark Council (magenta background) leaflet/voting form for the public consultation that ended on 22 June 2007 had mock-up photos of the four proposals. Proposal 1. was a "Feature Tree". The photo shows a broad-leafed deciduous tree with regular trunk and branches. I don't know enough about trees to identify the species. Anyone who voted for the "winning" Proposal 1. didn't get what they voted for. I would estimate that the all in cost of buying a semi-mature deciduous sapling, digging the hole, transporting the sapling, planting it, and any charge for project management would be of the order of ?2000 or less. Does anyone want to make a FoI request for the actual cost?
  23. If you have questions the project manager is/was [email protected] The "tree" installed is nothing like the one illustrated on the public consultation document. Funny, that.
