  1. I'll get the details later and call them - thanks for that
  2. No comments about the level of idiocy of those who left masses of the beads in the park, but we've been trying to clear it up with a broom and a dustpan. If anyone has a leaf blower that hoovers, can you please let me know if we can borrow it? The stuff won't wash away in the rain and will be there until it either blows away or gets picked up bit by bit.
  3. You need to comply with HMO regulations. Get in touch with Lambeth If you're letting out a property to that many people, you need to be fully aware of ALL regulations (fire alarms etc)
  4. Please watch out for the big grey Great Dane sized dog - attacked and bit a medium/ smaller dog and owners disappeared. The dog has been known to attack on previous occasion. Usually seen in Greendale / Peckham Rye - usually out with two smaller dogs I know there are many even smaller dogs on the Green so just please be careful
  5. glad to hear he'll be home soon and that it wasn't life threatening. Hope those guilty get taken off the streets and given the help they need
  6. Wow. As a learner you should wear a hi-vis or L plate if on that traffic. There are so many accidents that all drivers expect other drivers to be competent. I think there are definitely positives to just going for it, but I would want to study the lanes so you know exactly what to do and where to go.. ..then you can be more confident with your hand signals...
  7. Pizza GoGo...huge pizza for ?8. Great pizza, great price and really nice guy who runs it
  8. she does a bit, but she's been really unwell so it's not normal behaviour
  9. tried that.... tried chilled water, room temp water, filtered water, bottled water.... maybe it's just a phase. I can add water to her food and that's ok.
  10. I didn't know that. Thanks. Our blackberry picking dog used to love grapes too - he used to roll on them to peel them and then eat them! There are definitely foods dogs can't eat - additives to cakes, biscuits etc can be fatal. Good news though - our dog loved her chicken flavour ice pot and is now not worrying me as much. Still won't touch water though....
  11. I think her world is about to change! Fruit s definitely good for them - we had a dog who would pick blackberries for himself.
  12. Yes - thanks - she does like that - not sure too much dairy is good though. Goats milk is supposed to be closest to dog's milk, or they can have lactose free milk (or almond milk) Maybe she just find's water boring....maybe she's right.....
  13. brilliant! might pop up there :-) thanks Sue
  14. there is that ! I think you've identified a niche in the market
  15. Struggling to get our dog to drink enough water so am looking at ice lollies. Can't say it's my favourite flavour, but am starting off with chicken broth ice pops, with a stick made of dog chew - or just a bowl sized frozen block. The internet has ideas based on blended strawberries and watermelon, which sounds good too. Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes for their pooches?
  16. This really has to stop. It may well need a miracle of science, but while waiting for that remember consumers hold the power. If YOU want to see a change, choose carefully what you buy and how you live.
  17. Could anyone please explain the steps I need to take? I own the leasehold and the freeholder is not carrying out repair. There is a fault with the drainage alwhich has caused dry rot.I've replaced the flooring (he threatened to take my lease if I didn't) but it's coming back as surface water is leaking in (ground level too high) and not draining away. Also the roof is also leaking into my kitchen. I've written to him and sent surveyor report outlining what needs to be done but he is ignoring me. I'm worried about ongoing damage but also worried about court costs. A tribunal cannot award damages, so I need some guidance please.
  18. does that mean there is no time to appeal?
  19. good work Theron. I might suggest actually showing him the location and then he can clean it up himself. I've missed location before and had someone help me find it.
  20. mine wasn't labelled and has been emptied.
  21. Netflix- Marco Polo is epic, beautifully shot and great script Good Girls is brilliant and quite light Money Heist - just too good - and about to start S3 - can't wait but can't watch TV every day Haven't missed live TV at all.
  22. I had a window box stolen, was really annoyed. More so when we found out it had been used to smash a window and break into our neighbours. Can we have some more police please Boris?
  23. what do the contractors actually do with the rubbish? how much gets recycled? what % goes to landfill? is recycling done in England or sent overseas? do they have targets in their contract?
  24. What are you intending to do with the DMs? Sounds quite sinister. The % of the local population who read these posts on EDF are likely pretty small so if you were to collate a % of that, it would arguably not represent a true view of the community. I would strongly suggest - as has been suggested above - more practical measures than attempting to seek a dog free zone. That is really not in the interests of the community. There are people who cannot walk further - perhaps you've not spoken to the dog walkers? Why not call a meeting or add a notice to the Community Board in the Park, follow up the warden visiting the park, provide dog poo bags, get posters on the trees/ fences/gates to ask the Dog Walking community to help. Have you actually raised awareness in a way that that brings the attention to the relevant people? If not, how do you expect anything to change? EDF, while good - is by no means a way of addressing a whole community. If you want to see a change, get realistic. If the issue is raised in the correct way, you are likely to get the right people on board and the level of support you require. I have also not seen dog poo on the green, but have on almost every street - also mentioned on the Forum. Perhaps it's time to get a grip on ALL dirty walkers and enforce fines. Which is far better for everybody than banning dogs from a park - and who would enforce that anyway? - the same people who enforce the Clean Up After Your Dog campaign on our streets? The Police?
  25. they certainly sell them!
