  1. would have preferred to have commissioned a local school and given them the money
  2. it's not fair to pick on the co-op over jelly babies there is a whole website dedicated to comparing prices for products across all supermarkets as it's known they ALL charge different prices at different times. Sainsbury DKH is exceptionally overpriced though
  3. Borrowing and capital investment go hand in hand - in fact, a company can have debt and not be in trouble - some companies manage like this. It's very shortsighted to say that any as profits would be used to pay off the debt of the initial cost, it's not worth the investment.
  4. do you know someone with a compost heap?
  5. If you don't vote, you are basically agreeing with the manifesto of each party.
  6. We give contracts to other countries eg trains/France because we are in the EU and EU countries are allowed to bid
  7. I've washed it as it had been raining. Double red buttons, quilted.
  8. We watch netflix, much more chilled out.
  9. I'm going to vote conservative as I want the NHS sold to USA medical corporations so that the vulnerable in our country are unable to access the medical help they need. OR I'm going to vote Labour as they have a very socialist manifesto (great - more money for NHS, school, infrastructure) that requires such huge investment it can only come from rich people (who can choose to live elsewhere, effectively reducing the tax they currently pay - which isn't enough) Wait, hold on......
  10. no, no news - just another public figure in a prominent position being shady - this one connected to a paedophile and their larger crime of trafficking children/ child prostitution - and in total denial - to the point of making up ludicrous alibis. nothing to report no. we would hope that anyone (let alone a member of the royal family) would do the right thing, at the right time. the scandal is he didn't and is denying knowledge - being stupid is not an excuse.
  11. do estate agents still make up bidding wars by pretending there are other interested parties?
  12. disgusting behaviour - lying and trying to hide behind his position to get away scot free.
  13. They don't inspire me to join the spending frenzy at all. We have our traditions for Christmas and getting all aught up in the marketing isn't one of them.
  14. I don't agree with that at all.
  15. I think it's the fact he is digging bigger and bigger holes.... And the pizza thing, why on earth would you even think of that?
  16. I know who you're talking about! I think they need more bass - can you add that too?
  17. Thank you! You're really fantastic :-)
  18. It's a serious question. My neighbour was worried and came out to ask me on my way home.
  19. all parties should have integrity, transparency, best interests of the country at heart..... we're in this position because they fall short and are not accountable (other than not being voted for again - which is hard when we don't have anyone worth voting for instead)
  20. Since are government is made up of such laughable, failing politicians, why not let's see if Trump can step in and give us a hand, or maybe EU? They would have our best interests at heart.
  21. https://wrapuplondon.org.uk/ Please have a look through your wardrobes and if you can, donate your unwanted winter coats. They are given to vulnerable people in our communities. This also ensures people are able to access other support they may need, as the distribution is done via charities. There are some drop offs (Mon to Fri next week) - nearest being Clapham. You can also print of a FREE voucher - you can drop off your coat with Collect Plus shops. This link shows where they are = there's a few around here, so it's really easy. https://www.collectplus.co.uk/store-locator?v=2 Please have a look - a little goes a long way
