  1. what risk do they run by covering up their plates? The risk of being identified?
  2. to be honest, there are some things my kids have NEVER wanted to eat and still don't (eggs, mushrooms) - I just stopped trying. Your boy is young so I would say persistence and patience pays off. If he says he doesn't want carrots and you stop giving them to him - he'll never eat them. While it's tiresome - present different food to him to play with, touch and also to watch you eat. Do you eat together? That might help. I wouldn't personally give in to demands for toast and pizza and chicken nuggets - that's really setting yourself up as they are full of additives and a really bad habit. Just get good food into him and wean him off the pizzas. You could make mini pizzas out of muffin-halves instead (or pitta bread) and try different toppings. Then you know it's good for him. Maybe he could get involved with you making things?
  3. It is true the Tories borrowed more. http://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2016/03/13/the-conservatives-have-been-the-biggest-borrowers-over-the-last-70-years/ if we're going to be objective....
  4. if you're going to fuss about the details for one side you need to look at the maths for the tories too. or as yourself why you're not.
  5. Foxton's did something amazing for me. So, yes - I am fully aware of the impact they have on the market, but from a personal point of view - just what I needed.
  6. Everyone is so anti Corbyn that the Tory's are getting away with absolute murder while everyone's looking at him instead. It's called diversion and conditioning. Since when has poltics been about people and not the policies. It boils down to investment in social infrastructure funded by tax on corps and high incomes or no investmnent and more cuts to the vulnerable and corps getting away with not paying tax. but of course, the former is Corbyn and we can't possibly have any inclination to agree to anything he says because it's personal now. The leak could of course be a fantastic plan and not an accident at all.....
  7. Yes, I heard that - but I thought you got vouchers to spend. More details of outlets accepting /buying clothes by weight would be helpful.
  8. organised crime filtering gently into society. Starting off lightly and before you know it, it's morphed into something extremely dangerous and out of control.
  9. James - what IS being done about the moped attacks? It's no longer funny and we can't any longer say they're pests. The fact that this is unchecked (because chasing them could be dangerous to them and the public) is allowing it to escalate. We've seen the violence that this is turning into.
  10. I save mine up until I've got a spare Saturday and then drop it off. There are loads of places so it's not hard to make a journey in opening hours. Obviously, I'm perfect. Maybe other people just don't think or don't realise - and think they're doing the right thing, that fits in with their availability. Perhaps rather than complaining, ask the shops to put BIG notices up saying that donations left outside cannot be sold and the charity actually has to pay for it's disposal. Maybe then the penny will drop.
  11. I am the equivalent in my family. But I unpack as well :-)
  12. I think he's brilliant. Shockingly inappropriate for the role he has, but in a harmless way. Principles of integrity duty and loyalty shine through compared to the drivel we have as politicans these days.
  13. think she's being to grasp she can change her perception
  14. All good points - thank you. I'll try and get her to reframe her fear into something a little more accepting. I've had foxes before and they ate my tomatoes!
  15. Actually it's my very freaked out boss; They've dug a den under the shed and a tunnel into the lawn. There are cubs as well. Anyone any experience of moving them on, humanely? I told her about peeing in the garden :-)
  16. anything by the family kids....suggestion above is perfect. Otherwise, maybe have a birthday occasion and get friends family there
  17. Peckham Rye to Shoreditch is on the Overground,
  18. they work hard and don't complain because they often are replaceable. my friend asked for extra hours - so they said he could work the same hours over six days instead of five days. When he asked for a Saturday off, they told him to not come back. he now works seven days a week to get a decent amount of money each week...it's actually heartbreaking.
  19. Tories borrow more money than Labour.
  20. It's relevant to seek information on serious crime if it's in your community.
  21. You'll probably remember the last time the country was sick of the Tories and voted tactically - Tony Blair became our new PM. I remember how excited people were. I can assure you, with a weak leader like Corbyn, Blair will e sniffing around for any opportunity. And he's an evil man. So I will be voting doubly tactically.
  22. you can't do home cooked due to health and safety (i.e. standards for food hygiene and prep).
  23. "These things happen"????? oh, ok.. that's reassuring - I was about to be concerned. So long as we shoudl just take it in our stride. Passive acceptance of murder. Outrageous opinion. While we can all be safe and happy knowing that Peckham is the Best Place to Live in London it might be better to actually write to your MP and complain about the lack of police presence and budget cuts and MAYBE when there's another General Election actually vote according to your hopes for your community.
  24. because they're secret Tories and won't admit it or they're easily swayed by media, which is driven to reduce the man
