  1. what exactly is the specialism of the company May's husband owns? Tax avoidance?
  2. one million young new voter registers this week.
  3. may be true Louisa, but Theresa May is a train crash
  4. Oh, I've just checked - it should be about the 3% strength, so the medicinal type. The strongest is for bleaching hair! I didn't mean that. It's never damaged anything I've used it on. School shirts mainly.
  5. you are kidding Rahrahrah? The press are on the side of the Tories so of course will say that Labour will be wiped out. This is in the ambition people (voters) will take Labour out of the equation and vote Lib Dems as a strategic vote to stop the Tories getting in...... only to find later that if they'd not been influenced by the press then they would have voted Labour and Labour would have won.
  6. hydrogen peroxide - works wonders. You can get it in the chemist for around ?2 a bottle. Get the strongest you can.
  7. Well, I have never heard of 'intelligence' being a mitigating factor for violence and drug abuse. If drugs affect someone so much that they pick up a knife and hurt someone, then personally i think it's extremely stupid to let it go so lightly. Her behaviour is extremely unsettling. Out of control. It's not at all like 'our university days' so fondly recollected as being messy. Not quite the same, unless you also became out of control and lost your temper to such an extent that you can relate to her actions mental state personally. I can't/ But I have seen someone become that crazy, it's actually scary. Psychologically, what is the make up of someone who chooses violence? There is definately something wrong with someone who makes the choices this woman has. And if anybody would like to confirm that drugs do not affect your mental health at all, in any way over the long term, then please cite your source. Otta...and no, I do not read the DM. I prefer books.
  8. Can we have our police back now please? Theresa May didn't think we needed them, but I kind of disagree with her. She's looking lamer by the day.
  9. while that is true, RD, the West have been meddling in the Middle East for a long time. Whatever the start of the chain of events, the consequences are that the ideologoy of hatred is poison...spreading and gaining power by conditioning - i.e people copying, influencing, corrupting other's minds.
  10. In answer to your question, Otta, drugs make people unstable. A surgeon would be expected to be stable and predictable. Her choices of taking drugs and getting into such a state she becomes extremely violent does not bode well. Her values are obviously shot. Hardly a reputable, reliable, respectable person.
  11. That says a lot!
  12. do you get the feeling that they didn't think this through?
  13. anything with stickers and animals - keep her mind in a happy place would they have colouring books and pens in Sainsbury's?
  14. really? what do you think that says about me? moot point, as I was not involved in making decisions about a drug addict with a propensity to uncontrolled violence having a future as a heart surgeon
  15. Personally, I wouldn't want a surgeon who had a history of drug addition anywhere near me. I would say it's a prime example of pretty white priviledge and that the judge probably fancied her
  16. you should buy the best mattress you can afford and a mattress protector. There are lots of websites explain the differences between them so you should have a good read. Memory foam - for instance - comes in different levels of resistance which indicate the level of support they provide - you would choose based on things like your weight and personal preferences of soft/ medium/ firm Coil sprung can be a false economy - as you would need to know about the types of coil used and how stable they are. You can get ones with attached layers of thin foam, which again aren't as good as they look because you can't turn the mattress and can only use one side of it (as well as not being able to replace the foam, which wears out quicker then the main part of the mattress. The best are pocket sprung, as the pockets are little tubes which keep the springs in place and therefore provide an even distribution of support (so you won't sink into the middle). Then you have to look at how many springs.... some have far too many and sell on the fact of number, which is not actually that relevant. More springs do not equal better quality - you also have to look at the types of springs. Then you get fabric - you need good quality upholstery and the fabric used is indicative of the quality of the mattress..... the more you spend, the better you get - but beware of the sellers making their mattresses look better than they really are. So, pocket sprung are best, foam are / can be good - stay away from open coil and the ones with the memory foam layer. Wow, didn't realize I'd picked up so much info when I bought mine!
  17. 50s? More Victorian era...
  18. uhm... well of course. Does that not go without saying? It's like game of chess - positioning pieces etc. The parties will do or say anything to get in, we know their end plan is the next four years.
  19. can you judge a man on what he eats?
  20. what risk do they run by covering up their plates? The risk of being identified?
  21. to be honest, there are some things my kids have NEVER wanted to eat and still don't (eggs, mushrooms) - I just stopped trying. Your boy is young so I would say persistence and patience pays off. If he says he doesn't want carrots and you stop giving them to him - he'll never eat them. While it's tiresome - present different food to him to play with, touch and also to watch you eat. Do you eat together? That might help. I wouldn't personally give in to demands for toast and pizza and chicken nuggets - that's really setting yourself up as they are full of additives and a really bad habit. Just get good food into him and wean him off the pizzas. You could make mini pizzas out of muffin-halves instead (or pitta bread) and try different toppings. Then you know it's good for him. Maybe he could get involved with you making things?
  22. It is true the Tories borrowed more. http://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2016/03/13/the-conservatives-have-been-the-biggest-borrowers-over-the-last-70-years/ if we're going to be objective....
  23. if you're going to fuss about the details for one side you need to look at the maths for the tories too. or as yourself why you're not.
  24. Foxton's did something amazing for me. So, yes - I am fully aware of the impact they have on the market, but from a personal point of view - just what I needed.
  25. Everyone is so anti Corbyn that the Tory's are getting away with absolute murder while everyone's looking at him instead. It's called diversion and conditioning. Since when has poltics been about people and not the policies. It boils down to investment in social infrastructure funded by tax on corps and high incomes or no investmnent and more cuts to the vulnerable and corps getting away with not paying tax. but of course, the former is Corbyn and we can't possibly have any inclination to agree to anything he says because it's personal now. The leak could of course be a fantastic plan and not an accident at all.....
