  1. Gosh, you guys have such incredible memories.
  2. Before we had kids I had ambivalent feelings about being a dad, whereas Mrs CitEd had always longed to be a mum. Now we have two boys and will stop there. But as they grow older (youngest is 2 and a half)from time to time I certainly get the feeling that having a third would be nice. It's not so much that three is a better sized family than two it's just that I get a tad envious of those with tiny babies!
  3. Hey, this is getting fun - joke predictions!
  4. Vesta ready meals
  5. Yes, Barry Road Relaxed Ramble sounds perfect.
  6. Moving to Surrey; shifting boxes, trapping fingers, sweating profusely, builder's bum, back ache, dismantling furniture, reassembling furniture (in the wrong room), pizza eaten off the top of a paacking crate washed down with a coke. That is not boring, MP. Now living in Surrey....
  7. As the Clockhouse was the venue for my very first drinks I will be there too. I'd be there anyhow in the belief that "Nostalaga and Hope stand equally in the way of Authentic Experience"
  8. It has been the "new" East Dulwich for at least 6 years.
  9. As you're a girl, Legal, cording to them rules, you can get away with a half an orange juice. Easy...
  10. Brendan, Sean, BB, David, ha, I've found it: the real forum drinks. I hope to be somewhere in the vicinity, to cheer on the runners, skaters and anyone with an oyster card.
  11. Thanks Georgia, for organising the drinks - the night before the great wedding too. I really enjoyed myself again. Good to meet some new people and catch up with familiar faces. Citizen
  12. Ally and Floating, many congratulations form the citizen. All the very best for a happily married life.
  13. Just to add my sympathies, Pirate. Hoorible thing to happen.
  14. I saw "Ponyo" at the Peckham Plex today with my two little ones. Animated Japanese version of The Little Mermaid. Surreal and beautiful. MicMacks ad on back of Guardian Guide today - made me think of you too Mick.
  15. Noticed the old one has been painted black.
  16. Nice one Joseph and Nisha - good to hear the feedback. Thanks for the lychees last time I was in, oh and the advice on curry making. Keep up the good work.
  17. And what will be voted album of the decade next week, eh? But agree it's a pretty decent album Me, I'm still in Elbow-land
  18. A thoughtful post Applespider. Sorry to hear about your mugging, Sylvie
  19. I was there on Saturday, enjoying a coffee as I watched a the footie players training, the proud mums and dads promenading and the doggie walkers, er, dogging (?). Hope the damage is not grate and good to hear the little gem is still open.
  20. I like the word comport: it'll be added to my vocab. henceforth. I came accross another new word recently. Take a look at this report of Serena William's recent outburst: According to the Grand Slam Rule Book, unsportsmanlike conduct when referred to the Grand Slam committee can be treated as "aggravated behaviour", which "is flagrant and particularly injurious to the success of a Grand Slam, or is singularly egregious". "egregious" in a set of sporting rules; now that is class.
  21. I went to the Fete with my two little boys and we loved it. Watched the Punch and Judy - and looked on bemusedly at the little thugettes throwing stuff at Mr Punch (proving that the Fete was indeed in Peckham, not ED), enjoyed the dog show, had a go on the (free) bouncy castle and spent ages in the Fire Engine. Then to the Cafe for a drink. Lovely weather, great atmosphere. What was not to like. Chin up happy punters and many thanks to the organisers.
  22. The reason that you were not getting a reply from them was because they were having a training day today.
  23. Mick, you should have tried ringing 020 7811 8055. Progress and that.
  24. I was there on Wednesday from about 11 to around 12.30 with my two little boys. Were any other Edfers there. Had a quite lovely time, signed the petition to get the 1 o,clock club open every morning as it's been doing over the holidays. Hope to get there next week too.
  25. I've heard there's a nice hotel in Barking.
