  4. There are some very wealthy households in London where the man of the house speaks English and his wife /wives and domestic staff do not speak English and are not allowed access to English. I have never seen any children, but I always wonder what happens to them. The women are not let out without the man. Its horrible. :(
  5. Surely someone out there can have a go at a pop up pub/bar somewhere in Herne Hill/Dulwich Village?

  17. I am sorry to hear you position OP . A long time ago when I was pregnant I planned all my journeys home from Oxford Circus around getting a seat for the journey. So I always got the No 3 bus which starts at Oxford Circus where you can always get a seat.It took much longer than the tube but I still do this when I am tired.Maybe you can change into comfy shoes too?
  18. The vendor has legal rights to do this if they have lived there for 2 years, and if all goes well 4 month sounds about right, your solicitor should be advising you on this. http://www.lease-advice.org/information/faqs/#LeaseExtension
  19. yha might be your best bet if money is tight
  20. not so ??? if they can find a new buyer and convince then to sell with them and so get a stack more agency fees and they control all the chain. I have come across this.
  21. Please understand that an estate agents fees are linked to the sale price. So if they think they can increase their fee they will suggest this.
  22. I think in Scotland if you want to buy a house you just put your best bid in, and everyone that does so has to have their own survey/valuation first (it is binding bid)- so say 5 people want a house- 5 surveys and only one is used, and 4 are wasted of money. That's why everyone likes chain free sales here.
