I said no to "halal turkey" and went for the vegetarian option at a recent xmas meal. I don't actually like turkey, but realise I don't really know what halal means in terms of animal welfare or pain involved in slaughter. Can anyone help? For example I would only buy free range chicken - but does halal chicken mean its free range too? is all halal meat now stunned before slaughter? Thanks
I find this whole thing makes me feel sick. If true it makes you wonder how these people are so sick . Were they like that and drawn to showbizz? or did the culture of showbizz make them think this was normal? Or it this just representive or " society! at that time?
I am pretty sure you will- but your peer group has to be the same- no good them showing you their new stuff all the time-unless you can retaliate with home made something that costed little but you spent HOURS making. :/
Personally, I think the quicker you realise material things are not important( up to a point) the happier you will be. A lot of unhappiness is to do with wanting things you cannot have/ covet. Afraid to say it took redundancy and being 50 for me to realise this.
I am loathe to order using Amazon- but the "Book People" have sold out of the book I want ( and it is twice the Amazon Price). Does any one have any recoomendation for buying ( discounted) on line? Thanks
In 1982 at The Dept of Environment we dictated our letters to the typing pool by the telephone- we dialed different numbers to rewind the tape/playback- it was awful. The letters came back 4 days letter. If there was a mistake and it was urgent we went to the lower ground floor and there was a very quiet room with about 10 women all wired up with earphones to machines typing our letters- You were not allowed to speak to them - you just put your amended letter in a big in tray with "urgent" written on it. It looked joyless.
4 years later and it was easy!! homebirth- more control - very natural. I WAS LUCKY. I know. I think a lot is to do about knowing your body and asserting yourself instead of letting some vindictive health worker take over.
mince is your saviour. Batch cook a load of mince with onion and cut up small other veg/pulses and tomatoes/ passata. them divide up in plastic containers . freexe and you can leave as is/ add chilli beans/ curry powder as you will. this does not take a lot of space up. Another goodone is a pasta bake/ shepherds pie. I make a big one of each of these and 2 small indiv ones and freeze them. I always have a little container of frozen breadcrums with parmesan cheese in the freezer to sprinkle over at the last minute. Cassroles too- just cut the veg up small.
The main advantages of Dulwich Village are the huge amount of sports facilities-particularly outside spaces. Velodrome, Football, rugby, tennis and cricket. Gardens are generally bigger. It feels more open.
Might it be that when he is lying it is to give you the answer you want to hear, and that he he too scared( or something like that) to tell you what you don't want to hear? Similar to me saying to a teenager: "Will you get pick up the dry cleaning?" His reply " of course " I get home say " did you get dry cleaning?" he says " no, it was closed early today" ( no idea what the truth is - but its easier for him to say that than accept any responsabilty for not getting it.
perhaps the question should be " at what stage do retire, sell your house and leave london- releasing the equity as your pension to live on?" and do you buy a small 2 bed property so they can only come and sleep on the sofabed...............?? They don't fly the nest- the nest is moved.
