  2. We went to see the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime last night at the National. I think it may have sold out, but if you get a chance to see it , it is brilliant. As well as the amazing acting, the set/ lighting/ choreography/ sound are brilliant.
  3. I think the new mattress is a relatively new piece of advice and lots of other people would be intersted in it. Maybe a womans refuge, or if you are handy then cover it and make a big cushion for outside?

  8. Is that right?Hunger Games? isn't that a bit scary? When my family read The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings etc they were not brand new.But they were 14 ish? I know what you mean about old hat but they are age appropriate- Noughts and crosses by Mallory Blackman? The Eoin Colfer books are really good for that age - I think.The Artemis Fowl series but there are others- especially with strong girl characters.

    Milk

    I confess I used to buy milk at Sainsburys- about 10 pints a week. Where should I buy to be sure that the milk producers get a fair price- does it have to be the co-op or is there anywhere else local? thanks

  20. As a former employer of au pairs I can only agree. I have had several au pairs crying in the kitchen to me because their family treats them like a slave. I have had to comfort them and occasionally allow them to stay here with my own au pair. I have to say that for some families who are not British ,they come from a culture where slavery/ subservience is the way of things. These families are usually blacklisted by reputable au pair agencies.

  24. Pair of levis from pre children once a year,I try them on, sigh and put them away again.
