  1. I thought the wine stain relatively exciting- vision of a domestic- involving a glass of wine thrown on someone and missing..........
  2. Pillow fights. Those boys have got to get it out of their system.
  3. I think cheerios have a lot of sugar in - as do 90% of breakfast cereals.I managed to keep my eldest son on porridge but my youngest son had every sugar cereal possible as he was never hungry in the morning and I tried everything. BRan flakes- if I can't eat them I dont expect my children to - Fruit and fibre is nicer but I suspect its full of sugar too.
  4. If your pension statement says your pension is worth 10% less this year that last year, despite you increasing the size of it by 5%- then investing in property is a good long term bet. There are of course risks, but medium to long term it is a winner.
  5. you could always try extreme knitting it...........( in white)
  6. Its not quick- you have to prepare it BUt a big pot of soup home made on top of the cooker is good- too warm today but for tomorrow? start soaking those pulses .....
  7. genwilliams- we will know you when we see you.
  8. its kind of sick isn't it? But i think the govt is going back on some ridiculous deal it made. As long as they have to work till 75 to get it I am ok with it.
  9. I teach English as a foreign language- my students sometimes ask me why are we so obsessed with ethnicity. I did not think we were, its just to check/prove we're not racist. Isn't it?
  10. You could always have one fitted over a bath?A good one that is. I agree all older children generally like showers, but if you have had a hard physical day there is nothing like lying in a bath.If you move and you want your house to appeal to all possible buyers then a bath with a good powered shower over is best. My mistake ( after doing this) was to stand in the bath and say how tall a side shower screen I wanted, not realising teenagers would grow so tall. Plan for people of 6' 3".
  11. Please bear in mind some siblings do not get on with each other. Chalk and cheese. You are blessed if you can have children but mine hardly speak to each other apart from sharing insults.
  12. Angela phillips The trouble with boys. Definitely dont worry.but they are different so forewarned is forearmed. Steve biddulph too.
  13. fess up to any family / freinds you can and give your self a break. They should step up to the mark and offer half a day or similar so you go and take care of yourself. YOu need to do this as a parent and the sooner you start doing it the better, as freinds/ family will expect it. It is hard being sole carer mon- fri and hats off to single parents. You are feeling like this ( I think) as you are tired and trying to do it all. In years gone by your parents would have shared the burden and you must learn to do this now- it does not get better till they are at school . Please do this . Think of it as letting someelse sharing the pleasure of your fortune. xxx

  17. Where does Nicholas Taylor live? I don't mean this in a stalky manner- I just felt it was somewhere rather nice and leafy.
  18. big a4 ring folder- with 26 letter dividers. maybe scan a load of stuff in?
  19. i think the london living wage is ?8.50an hour.imight pay that to a student but ?10 to someone with childcare qualifications-or maybe a bit more. It depends how many hours really. If someoen has to get the bus to you or drive then it has to be worth their while.
  20. I think babysitting is one quite passive thing but you are describing childcare which is a different thing.
  21. I quite liked his going out outfit in Sunderland.
