I must admit though I have no desire to make a commitment to one, I'm far too fickle. I am however fascinated by Tattoo art. I know a tree surgeon who is originally from a small island off Hawaii, though I hadn't seen him for a while. I recently bumped into him in Sainsbury's and asked him where he'd been. His mother recently died, so he went on a spiritual trip to reconnect & all that stuff. He seemed so chilled out (& a bit mad ) , he looked different , very fit and healthy but also now covered (& i mean covered) in traditional tattoos done the old way with ink and a tapping board needle by one of his relatives. It looks on him beautiful, I suppose it's the authenticity that stands out, like a warrior, but on me ? No I'd look like a prat ( actually even without tatts) I asked him how it felt doing it the old way "I think i cried for a week" he said . This guy's an ex-Royal marine with the 1000 yard stare and all that. So noooo way a lame arse design queen like me would last 10 minutes....No way! Ohh mummy....( and I hate her..) ..it hurts! W**F

Now this has become more complex than I expected, not so much good vs. bad taste . Tattoo's do seem to be more revealing , a kind of mirror to our soul, for some a little hidden part of our person we choose to flash or expose when the moment is right ! "See i'm not quite what you thought" ...and I'm liking that. W**F Note* If I'm seeing "Millwall" tattooed on your inside bottom lip, I'm fairly sure I know what your like already, thank you very much !

I mean I am truly fascinated as to what drives people to choose a piece of "art" usally when they're young & believe that in later life you are going to say " Look at this, yeah I still love it" all some 20 years and 2 or 3 wives/husbands later...I just can't see it. Also if you did make that mistake...Fess up, tell us your story,I nearly got my arse tattooed in San Francisco on my first honey moon & boy am I glad I didn't. She's gone and my bum is still as god intended. For example; I have just been to 'sco's in Kirkdale, smart young boy/man standing in the cue, viewed port side very respectable ( for the area) but starboard view has a large red english rose tattooed right up his neck to just under his ear. It was a beautifully crafted illustration, but on your neck, forever....Why ? W**F
